Product Overview
The QFX FX-180 is a versatile car stereo media player featuring Bluetooth connectivity, USB and TF card playback, AUX input, and FM radio. It offers a range of audio controls and functions for an enhanced listening experience.
Front Panel Controls and Functions
The FX-180 features a user-friendly interface with the following controls:
- 1. AMS: In radio mode, press to scan and select preset stations.
- 2. Power/Mode Button: Long press to power the unit ON or OFF. Short press to cycle through modes: USB, AUX, Radio, and Bluetooth. During phone calls, press to hang up.
- 3. CLK: Press to display the current clock time. Hold to enter time setting mode. Use the volume knob to adjust the time, then press it to confirm.
- 4. Volume Control & Select: Turn the knob to control the volume. Press the knob to cycle through audio functions: Bass, Treble, Balance, Fade, EQ, and Mega Bass.
- 5. 5/10-: In radio mode, press to store the current station into memory slot 5. In USB/TF mode, press to go back 10 tracks. Press and hold to switch folders.
- 6. 1/Play-Pause: In radio mode, press to store the current station into memory slot 1. In USB/TF mode, press to play or pause music playback.
- 7. 2/Intro: In radio mode, press to store the current station into memory slot 2. In USB/TF mode, press to play the intro of the current track.
- 8. 3/Repeat: In radio mode, press to store the current station into memory slot 3. In USB/TF mode, press to repeat the current track.
- 9. 4/Random: In radio mode, press to store the current station into memory slot 4. In USB/TF mode, press to play tracks in random order.
- 10. 5/10-: (Functionality described under item 5).
- 11. 6/10+: In radio mode, press to store the current station into memory slot 6. In USB/TF mode, press to skip forward 10 tracks. Press and hold to switch folders.
- 12. AUX Input: Connect external audio devices via the auxiliary input port.
- 13. TF Card Slot: Insert TF (TransFlash) memory cards for media playback.
- 14. USB Port: Connect USB flash drives for media playback.
- 15. Internal Microphone: Built-in microphone for hands-free calling.
- 16. >>> (AMS Forward): In radio mode, press to automatically search for the next station. Hold for manual station search.
- 17. Band: In radio mode, press to select different FM frequency bands.
Installation and Connections
Follow these steps for proper installation and connection:
- Connect the main wiring harness to the multi-pin port located on the back of the unit.
- The unit is designed to operate with speakers rated from 4 to 8 ohms impedance. A minimum impedance of 2 ohms is permissible.
- Ensure an inline fuse is installed in the fuse holder, using the same type of fuse as specified for your automobile.
- Connect the black wire to a reliable ground point, such as the car body's metal frame.
- For power, connect the yellow wire to the +12VDC constant power source (memory power). Connect the red wire to the ACC (accessory) power source.
- Connect the radio antenna, and any audio/video output cables as required.
Important Safety Note: Before powering on the unit, double-check all wire connections to ensure no wires are short-circuiting or improperly grounded. Incorrect wiring can lead to damage to the unit.

Limited Product Warranty Policy
Warranty Period: 1 Year for Parts and Labor.
Coverage: QFX warrants the original purchaser that the Product will be free from defects in material or workmanship under normal, non-commercial use.
QFX Obligation: At its option, QFX will repair or replace the defective Product or component, free of charge for parts and/or labor during the specified coverage period.
Exclusions: This warranty does not cover damage resulting from misuse, abuse, improper installation, unauthorized service, accidents, neglect, power surges, incorrect voltage, shipping damage, cosmetic damage, or acts of God. It also excludes commercial or rental use, or applications where data security or reliance on stored data for critical functions is compromised.

Returns: To process a return, customers must contact QFX Customer Support. The product must be returned prepaid, with proof of purchase, a detailed description of the issue, all accessories, and the required return shipping and handling fee (via cashier's check or money order payable to QFX, Inc.). Refer to the product table for specific fees.
