Product Installation
The EJEAS Q8 can be installed on various types of helmets. Follow these steps:
- Attach the main unit to the helmet using the provided clip or adhesive mount.
- Route the microphone and speakers inside the helmet for optimal positioning.
- Ensure the unit is securely fastened and all cables are managed neatly.

Product Operation
Basic Operation
Power ON/OFF:
- ON: Long press the for 1 second. The blue light will flash, and a voice prompt will be heard.
- OFF: Long press both the and the until the voice prompt says "Power off". The indicator light will turn off.
Reset: The device will automatically power off while charging and can be used while charging after powering on.
Battery and Charging Status:
- Low Battery Indication: When the battery is low, the red light flashes twice with a "Low Battery" voice prompt. If the battery is critically low, the device will automatically power off.
- Charging Indication: The red light is continuously on when using USB charging and turns off when fully charged.
- Battery Inquiry: After connecting via Bluetooth, the battery level can be viewed on the phone's Bluetooth icon.

Mesh Intercom
The EJEAS Q8 utilizes a multi-hop mesh network intercom system operating at 470-488MHz. This technology allows for a large number of participants to communicate freely within an effective range, offering longer transmission distances and superior anti-interference capabilities compared to traditional Bluetooth intercoms. Bluetooth music can be played simultaneously while using the mesh intercom.

- In campaign mode, an unlimited number of listeners can join in a listen-only capacity.
Microphone Mute:
During a Mesh Intercom session, you can mute your microphone by briefly pressing the
. This prevents your voice from being transmitted. To unmute, press the again. This function is exclusive to Mesh Intercom mode.VOX Voice Sensitivity:
The system enters a sleep mode when no speech is detected and activates automatically upon speaking. Users can adjust the voice activation sensitivity across 5 levels (default is level 3) to match their voice and prevent false activations or the need for loud speech. For high-speed riding, use a lower sensitivity level to avoid wind noise. For low-speed riding, a higher level allows for easier activation, even with whispering.
To cycle through sensitivity levels after turning on Mesh intercom, press and hold the
+ . The system will cycle from 1 to 5 and back to 1, announcing "{VOX n}" where 'n' indicates the current level (1-5).Mesh Intercom Pairing
Pairing Steps as Members:
- All devices enter pairing mode: Long press the (approx. 5s) until a prompt is heard and the red and green lights flash alternately, indicating "Mesh Pairing".
- Select one device as the "Paired Server". Press its . It will beep, and its red and green lights will flash alternately, indicating "Bi".
- Wait for "Pairing Successful" to be announced by all devices.
- After a few moments, all intercoms will announce "Channel n, xxx.x MHz", signifying successful connection and readiness for communication.
Intercom Reconnection:
When powering on for subsequent use, short press the
. The device will prompt "Join the Mesh" and then announce the channel information, allowing immediate communication.If the device powers off without explicitly turning off the intercom, it will automatically restore the connection upon the next power-on.
Turn off MESH Intercom:
Press and hold the
(approx. 1s) to turn off Mesh Intercom. A voice prompt "Mesh Close" will be heard.Mesh Intercom Pairing as Listeners
If other intercoms have already formed a team, you can join as a listener through pairing.
- To pair as a listener, enter listening mode pairing: Long press the + (approx. 5s). The prompt will be "Listen Mesh Pairing", and the red and green lights will flash alternately.
- Take a pre-paired device as the "Paired Server". Enter listening mode pairing on the server by pressing and holding its + (approx. 5s) until the prompt "Listen Mesh Pairing" is heard. Note: Devices that have not joined can only be added through the server.
- Short press the on the listener device. It will beep, and its red and green lights will flash alternately, indicating "Du".
Wait for "Pairing Successful" from all intercoms. After a few minutes, "Channel n, xxx.x MHz" will be announced, confirming successful entry into the intercom network.
Intercom Channel Switching:
There are 5 channels available. To switch channels forward or backward, short press the
+ or . All team members must be on the same channel to communicate. If the signal is unstable, switching channels may improve performance.Two-person Bluetooth Intercom
How To Pair With The Device:
- After powering on, long press the + (approx. 5s) until the red and blue lights flash alternately and the voice prompt "Intercom Pairing" is heard. Wait for connection to other intercoms.
- The second intercom enters pairing mode using the same operation. Once both devices discover each other, one will initiate the pairing connection.
The connection is successful, and the intercom begins. A voice prompt "Pairing Successful" will be heard.
Pairing with The Old Models:
For older models (V6/V4), simultaneously press and hold the
+ + for approximately 5 seconds to start pairing. The red and blue lights will flash alternately, and the prompt "Intercom Pairing" will be heard. Follow the instructions for older models to enter search and wait for successful pairing.Intercom Connection:
The blue light flashes rapidly, indicating "Intercom Connected".
Intercom Disconnection:
Press and hold the

Compatibility with all Bluetooth headsets or intercoms on the market is not guaranteed.
- Long press the + (approx. 5s) until the red and blue lights flash alternately and the prompt "Intercom Pairing" is displayed.
- Click the + again. The voice prompts "Intercom Searching", and the red and blue lights flash alternately.
- The intercom searches for other intercoms in pairing state. When it finds one, it will initiate pairing.
Successful Pairing: A voice prompt "Pairing Successful" will be heard.
Firmware Upgrades:
To upgrade the firmware, connect the device to a computer using a USB data cable. Download and open the "EJEAS Upgrade.exe" software. Click the "Upgrade" button to start the process and wait for completion. Note: Use the standard data cable provided by EJEAS for charging and upgrading.
Mobile Phone Pairing
The EJEAS Q8 supports connection to mobile phones for playing music, making calls, and using voice assistants. Up to two mobile phones can be connected simultaneously.
- After powering on the device, long press the (approx. 5s) until the red and blue lights flash alternately and the voice prompt "Phone Pairing" is heard.
- Your phone will search for the device named "Q8" via Bluetooth. Click to connect.
Connection Successful: The blue light double flashes slowly, and a voice prompt "Pairing Successful, Connected" is heard. The current battery level is displayed on the phone's Bluetooth icon (requires Mobile phone HFP connection).
Bluetooth Reconnection With Mobile Phones:
After switching on, the device automatically connects to the last connected phone via Bluetooth. If there is no connection, click the
to reconnect with the last paired mobile device.Mobile Control:
- Call Answering: When a call comes in, click the .
- Call Rejection: When a call comes in, press the for about 1 second.
- Hang Up: During an active call, click the .
- Call Redial: Quickly double-click the when standby or playing music.
- Cancel Redial: During redial, click the .
Phone Priority:
When a call is received, it will interrupt Bluetooth music, FM radio, and intercom. These functions will resume after the call is ended.
Voice Assistant:
When in standby or playing music, press and hold the
to activate your mobile phone's voice assistant. Available commands include: "Open Music", "Previous Song", "Next Song", "Call EJEAS", and "Open Navigation".Music Control:
- Play/Pause: Click the .
- Previous Song: Long press the button (approx. 2s).
- Next Song: Long press the button (approx. 2s).
FM Radio
The EJEAS Q8 supports FM radio reception on frequencies from 76-108MHz. After turning on the FM radio, it will automatically search for and play the found stations. FM radio can be used concurrently with the intercom function, allowing you to listen to the radio while talking.
FM On/Off:
- Turn ON: Press and hold + (approx. 1s). The prompt "FM Radio" will be heard.
- Turn OFF: Press and hold + (approx. 1s). The prompt "FM Radio Off" will be heard.
Switching Channels:
To switch channels, press and hold
for 2 seconds to go to the previous frequency ( ), or press and hold for 2 seconds to go to the next frequency ( ).Volume Adjustment:
The FM radio has 7 volume levels. Adjust volume using
or .Music Share
This feature allows you to share music played via Bluetooth on your phone with another EJEAS device. It cannot be used simultaneously with Bluetooth intercom or when two phones are connected to the device.
- Designate one intercom as the "host" and connect it to your phone. The other device acts as the "slave".
- On both the host and slave devices, press the + simultaneously to enter the music sharing connection state. The prompt "Music Share" will be heard.
Once connected successfully, play music from the host's phone, and it will be audible through the slave device's speaker.
To exit music sharing, press the
+ again on both devices. The prompt "Music Share Disconnected" will be heard.EUC Remote Controller (Optional)

EUC Pairing:
- Press and hold the + (approx. 5s) to enter pairing mode. The voice prompt "Remote Control Pairing" will be heard, and the red and blue lights will flash alternately. If pairing is not successful within 2 minutes, it will exit pairing mode.
- Press and hold the + on the handle for about 5s to clear the record until the red and blue lights come on.
- Click any button on the EUC to initiate pairing.
Pairing Successful: A voice prompt "Pairing Successful" will be heard. (If no successful pairing occurs within 2 minutes, exit pairing).
EUC Handle Operation:
Mesh intercom reconnect/disconnect and mobile phone control operations are the same as on the main unit. Refer to the diagrams for Bluetooth Intercom Connection, Bluetooth Intercom Disconnection, and FM On/Off.
Mobile App
The EJEAS Q8 can be controlled and managed via the SafeRiding mobile application.
- Download and install the SafeRiding mobile APP for the first time from the iOS or Android app store.
- Press and hold the (approx. 5s) until the red and blue lights flash alternately to enter phone pairing mode.
- Open the SafeRiding APP. Click the Bluetooth icon in the top right corner. The interface will display the name of the intercom device searched. Select the intercom device to be connected and click to connect. (For iOS systems, you may need to re-enter phone pairing via system settings -> Bluetooth to connect audio Bluetooth).
The next time you use the APP, simply open it, click the Bluetooth icon, and select the intercom for connection from the paired devices.
The APP provides functions for intercom group management, music control, FM control, device switch off, authenticity checks, and other features.
Restore Default Settings:
To restore the device to its default settings, press and hold the
+ + for about 5 seconds. The voice prompt "Restore Default Settings" will be heard, the pairing record will be deleted, and the device will automatically reboot.FCC Compliance
