Product Overview
The Jabra Evolve2 65 features a left and right earcup. On the right earcup, there are buttons for Previous track (hold for 1 second), Next track (hold for 1 second), Voice assistant, Mute microphone, Play/Pause music, Answer/End call, and Microsoft Teams notification. There is also a Busylight/status LED and a microphone boom. On the bottom of the right earcup, there is a USB-C charging port (approx. 1.5 hours to charge). The left earcup has a Play/Pause music button and a status LED. The device can be powered on/off and synchronized via Bluetooth by holding the power button for 1 second.

How to Wear
Wearing Styles
The headset is available in mono and stereo variants. The diagrams show how to position the headset on the head for both styles.
Adjusting the Headset
Adjust the headband so the earcup fits comfortably on your head. For optimal microphone performance, the microphone should be positioned close to your mouth.
SAFETY NOTE: The microphones can potentially be used to record private conversations.
Storage
The headset can be folded flat for storage.
Charging
The headset can be charged using the optional charging stand or directly via a USB charging cable. A full charge takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, providing up to 37 hours of battery life. A 15-minute quick charge provides 8 hours of battery life.
Charging with Charging Stand (Optional Accessory)
Connect the charging stand to a powered USB port on your computer using the supplied USB charging cable. Place the headset onto the charging stand. The charging stand can also be connected to any USB power source.
LED Indicators: The headset battery LED will briefly flash white to indicate a correct connection to the charging stand. It will then flash green, yellow, or red to show the charging status. A solid green light indicates the headset is fully charged.
Charging with USB Cable
Connect the USB charging cable to the USB-C charging port on the right earcup and to a free USB port on your computer. While the supplied Jabra charging cable is recommended, a compatible charger can also be used.
Sleep Mode
If the headset is on but not in use for music or calls, it will automatically enter sleep mode after 8 hours to save power. Press any button to exit sleep mode.
The time it takes for the headset to enter sleep mode can be adjusted via the Jabra Sound+ app on your smartphone or Jabra Direct on your computer.
After 24 hours in sleep mode, the headset will power off completely. To turn it back on, slide the On/Off switch to Off and then to On.
LED Indicators
Headset LEDs
- Solid Green: Powered on
- Solid Yellow: Medium battery
- Solid Red: Low battery
- Flashing Red: Very low battery
- Flashing Blue: Pairing mode
- Pulsing Purple: Restoring/Updating firmware
Busylight/Status LEDs
- Solid Red: Busylight is on (indicates you are busy)
- Solid Green: Active call
- Pulsing Green (slow): Incoming call
- Pulsing Purple (slow): Attempting to connect to Microsoft Teams (will stop after 10 seconds)*
- Pulsing Purple (fast): Microsoft Teams notification*
Jabra Link 380/390 LEDs
- Solid Purple: Connected to computer and logged into Microsoft Teams*
- Pulsing Purple (slow): Attempting to connect to Microsoft Teams (will stop after 10 seconds)*

Connecting to a Computer
Connection via Jabra Link 380/390
Connect the included Jabra Link 380/390 to a USB port on your computer. The Jabra Evolve2 65 and Jabra Link 380/390 are pre-paired and ready to use without additional configuration. The Bluetooth range is up to 30 meters (100 feet).
To listen to music, you may need to select the Jabra Link 380/390 as the playback device in your operating system's audio settings.
To manually pair the Jabra Evolve2 65 with the Jabra Link 380/390, download and use Jabra Direct.
Before first use, it is recommended to update the headset to the latest firmware using Jabra Direct or Jabra Sound+.
SAFETY NOTE: There is no encryption for data exchange between the headset and USB devices or ports.
Connecting to a Smartphone
- Slide the On/Off switch to the Bluetooth position and hold it there until the LED flashes blue and you hear an audio notification in the headset.
- Go to your smartphone's Bluetooth menu and select Jabra Evolve2 65 from the list of available devices.
Before first use, it is recommended to update the headset to the latest firmware using Jabra Direct or Jabra Sound+.
SAFETY NOTE: The headset uses a secure Bluetooth connection with 128-bit encryption. If your Bluetooth device does not support secure connections, it cannot be paired or connected to the headset.
How to Use
Powering On/Off
Slide the On/Off switch to the On or Off position to power the headset on or off.
Calls and Music
Managing Calls
- Answer a call: Press the Multifunction button. You can also move the microphone boom down to answer a call.
- End a call: Press the Multifunction button.
- Reject a call: Press the Multifunction button twice.
Microsoft Teams Integration
- Bring Microsoft Teams to the foreground on your computer: Press the Microsoft Teams button* (if logged into Microsoft Teams).
- Join an active meeting in Microsoft Teams: Press the Microsoft Teams button* (if logged into Microsoft Teams).
- View missed calls and voice messages in Microsoft Teams: Press the Microsoft Teams button* (if logged into Microsoft Teams).
*Requires the Microsoft Teams variant of the headset.
Music Controls
- Play/Pause Music: Press the Play/Pause button. The headset will interrupt music when placed on a flat surface and resume when lifted.
- Adjust Volume: Press the Volume Up or Volume Down button while on a call or listening to music.
- Next Track: Press and hold (1 second) the Volume Up button.
- Restart Track or Go to Previous Track: Press and hold (1 second) the Volume Down button to restart the current track. Press twice to play the previous track.
- Turn Busylight Indicator On/Off: Press the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons simultaneously.
- Check Battery Status: Press the Volume Up or Volume Down button when not on a call or listening to music.
Voice Assistant and Microphone Control
Voice Assistant
- Activate Voice Assistant (Siri, Google Assistant): Press the Voice button when there is no active call.
Microphone Mute/Unmute
- Mute/Unmute Microphone: Press the Voice button when on a call. You can also move the microphone boom up to mute and down to unmute.
Busylight Notifications
The headset's Busylight illuminates red automatically when you are on a call to indicate to others that you are busy. To manually turn the Busylight on or off, press the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons simultaneously.
Microphone Mute/Unmute via Microphone Boom
The headset's microphone can be muted by moving the microphone boom upwards or unmuted by moving it downwards. This function is enabled by default and can be deactivated using Jabra Sound+ or Jabra Direct.
SAFETY NOTE: Sensors in the microphone boom can potentially be used to detect user presence.
Answer Call Using Microphone Boom
You can answer an incoming call by moving the microphone boom downwards towards your mouth. This function is enabled by default and can be deactivated using Jabra Sound+ or Jabra Direct.

Voice Assistant and Multiuse
Voice Assistant
The Jabra Evolve2 65 allows you to communicate with Siri or Google Assistant on your smartphone using the Voice button.
Multiuse
The headset can pair with up to eight Bluetooth devices and connect to two Bluetooth devices simultaneously (e.g., Jabra Link 380/390 and a smartphone, or two smartphones). The headset can accept multiple incoming calls from each device.
To pair two smartphones, use the normal pairing process separately for each smartphone (refer to section 6).
Note: The voice assistant will activate on the last connected smartphone.
Multi-Call Management
The headset can receive and manage multiple calls simultaneously.
- End current call and answer incoming call: Press the Multifunction button.
- Put current call on hold and answer incoming call: Press and hold (2 seconds) the Multifunction button*.
- Switch between held call and active call: Press and hold (2 seconds) the Multifunction button*.
- Reject incoming call during a call: Press the Multifunction button twice.
*Only on the non-Microsoft Teams specific variant.
Voice Guidance
Voice guidance provides messages that guide the user during setup or inform about the headset's status (e.g., connection status or battery level). Voice guidance is enabled by default.
Activate/Deactivate Voice Guidance: Press and hold the Voice button and the Volume Up button (5 seconds) until you hear an audio notification in the headset.
You can also use the Jabra Direct application on your computer or Jabra Sound+ on your smartphone to activate or deactivate voice guidance.
For an updated list of supported languages, consult the Jabra Sound+ app on your smartphone or Jabra Direct on your computer.
Sidetone and Reset
Sidetone
Sidetone allows you to hear your own voice better during a call. You can configure Sidetone settings via the Jabra Sound+ app on your smartphone or Jabra Direct on your computer.
Resetting the Headset
Resetting the headset will erase the list of connected devices and restore all settings.
To Reset: Ensure the headset is powered on and no calls are active. Press and hold the Multifunction button and the Volume Up button simultaneously (3 seconds) until the LED lights up pink and you hear an audio notification. You will need to re-pair the headset with your Jabra Link 380/390.

Jabra Direct
Jabra Direct is computer software designed to manage, administer, and facilitate optimal functionality of Jabra devices.

Firmware Updates
Firmware updates improve performance or add new functionalities to Jabra devices. Before first use, it is recommended to update the headset to the latest firmware using Jabra Direct. Firmware can be updated using Jabra Direct or Jabra Sound+. Both applications will send a notification when a firmware update is available.

Headset Care
- Always store the headset in the included carry pouch.
- To prevent reduced battery capacity or lifespan, do not store the headset in cold or hot environments, such as a car parked in the sun or in winter.
- It is recommended to keep the headset between -20°C and 55°C (-4°F and 131°F).
- Do not store the headset for extended periods without recharging (maximum three months).
