Riding Your All-Star 2.0

FAILURE TO FOLLOW SAFETY PRECAUTIONS CAN LEAD TO DAMAGE, VOID WARRANTY, PROPERTY DAMAGE, SERIOUS BODILY INJURY, AND DEATH.

Familiarize yourself with operating procedures before use.

Operating Your All-Star 2.0

  1. Ensure the All-Star 2.0 is fully charged.
  2. Stand behind the All-Star 2.0. Place one foot on the corresponding foot mat. Keep weight on the foot on the ground.
  3. The All-Star 2.0 may vibrate or move if weight is not balanced.
  4. When ready, shift weight to the foot on the All-Star 2.0 and step on with the second foot quickly and evenly.

NOTES: Stay relaxed and step on confidently. Imagine climbing stairs. Look up once feet are even. Vibration or spinning if weight is applied to only one foot mat is normal.

Find your center of gravity. With weight distributed correctly and center of gravity level, you should be able to stand as if on the ground.

It takes about 3-5 minutes to get comfortable standing and maintaining balance. A spotter can help. The All-Star 2.0 is intuitive; anxiety about stepping on may cause unwanted movement.

To move in your desired direction, focus in that direction. Thinking about the direction will shift your center of gravity and propel you.

Your center of gravity determines movement, acceleration, deceleration, and stopping. Tilt your center of gravity in the direction you wish to move.

To turn, focus on the direction and stay relaxed.

WARNING: Do not turn sharply or at high speeds to avoid danger. Do not turn or ride quickly along slopes, as it may cause injury.

As you become comfortable, maneuvering becomes easier. At higher speeds, shift weight to overcome centrifugal force. Bend knees on uneven surfaces, then dismount and carry to a safe surface.

Diagrams showing movement: Move Backward, Stop, Move Forward

Dismounting

Dismounting can be easy, but incorrect dismounting may cause falls. From a stopped position, lift one leg and set your foot back on the ground (STEPPING BACK). Then step off completely.

WARNING: Lift feet completely off the foot mat when stepping back to dismount. Failure to do so may send the All-Star 2.0 into a tailspin.

Weight and Speed Limitations

  • Maximum Weight: 220 lbs
  • Minimum Weight: 44 lbs
  • Maximum Speed: Up to 7 mph

WARNING: Overweight exertion may increase the possibility of injury or product damage.

NOTES: To prevent injury, when max speed is reached, the All-Star 2.0 will beep and tilt the rider back.

Operating Range

The All-Star 2.0 can travel up to 7 miles on a full charge in ideal conditions. Factors affecting range include:

  • Terrain: Riding distance is highest on smooth, flat surfaces. Uphill or rough terrain significantly reduces distance.
  • Weight: Lighter users have further range.
  • Ambient Temperature: Ride and store under recommended temperatures for increased distance, battery life, and performance.
  • Speed and Riding Style: Moderate, consistent speed maximizes distance. High speeds, frequent starts/stops, idling, and frequent acceleration/deceleration decrease range.

Balance & Calibration

If your All-Star 2.0 is unbalanced, vibrating, or not turning properly, follow these steps to calibrate:

  1. Place the All-Star 2.0 on a flat, horizontal surface. Foot mats should be even and not tilted. Ensure the charger is not plugged in and the board is off.
  2. Press and hold the ON/OFF button for 5 seconds. The scooter will turn on, lighting the battery indicator.
  3. Release the ON/OFF button after the light flashes 5 times consecutively.
  4. Turn the board off and then back on. Calibration is complete.

Safety Alerts

If a system error or improper operation occurs, the All-Star 2.0 will alert the user. The Running Indicator Light will turn RED, and a beep sound will alert the user to cease operation, potentially causing the device to stop suddenly.

Safety Alerts indicate common occurrences requiring attention:

  • Unsafe riding surfaces (uneven, too steep, unsafe, etc.).
  • Platform tilted more than 10 degrees forward or backward when stepping on.
  • Low battery voltage.
  • The All-Star 2.0 is still charging.
  • Platform self-tilts due to excess speed during operation.
  • Overheating or high motor temperature.
  • The All-Star 2.0 rocking back and forth for over 30 seconds.
  • System enters protection mode (alarm indicator lights up, board vibrates), typically when the battery is low.
  • Platform tilted forward or backward more than 10 degrees will cause the All-Star 2.0 to power off suddenly, potentially causing loss of balance or falls.
  • Blocked tires will trigger flashing lights after 10 seconds.
  • When battery level depletes below protection mode, stop use within 15 seconds.
  • During high discharge (e.g., steep slopes), the All-Star 2.0 will alert and stop within 15 seconds.

WARNING: When the All-Star 2.0 turns off during a Safety Alert, all systems halt. Do not attempt to ride. Turn the All-Star 2.0 off, then back on, and check calibration.
