Installation Guide
Mounting the Actuator:
1. Calculate the desired height for the system, ideally centered with the main door and aligned with a strong cross girder. Weld the mounting plate (P) according to Figure 1.
2. With the gate leaf closed, weld bracket (S) to a strong cross beam of the main door or an equivalent structural element, following the dimensions in Figure 1. Ensure the actuator is not at the extreme end of its stroke during this process.
3. Remove the cover (C) by loosening screw (F). Attach the actuator to plate (P) using screw (T) and nut (D) as shown in Figure 2.
4. Secure the actuator to plate (S) using screw (V) and washer (R).
The pre-drilled holes in the actuator (Fig. 1a-1b) assist in achieving optimal installation measurements.
Adjusting Mechanical Stoppers:
The actuator features adjustable mechanical stoppers for opening and closing phases. Adjust these by positioning the 'Open' and 'Close' locks as follows (refer to Figure 3):
- Unlock the system using the special release lever (refer to user instructions, pages 21-22).
- Close the gate leaf.
- Loosen screws (V1) and move the 'Close' lock until it contacts pivot (P). Tighten screws (V1).
- Open the gate leaf.
- Loosen screws (V2) and move the 'Open' lock until it contacts pivot (P). Tighten screws (V2).
- Reset the system to automatic operating mode.
The BOB5024 version includes two limit micro-switches that trigger slightly before the mechanical stops are reached.
Wiring and Connections
Cable Entry:
The mounting plate (P) accommodates cable glands for PG11 or PG13.5. Secure the plate to the adaptor cover using screws (V) after applying the chosen cable gland.
Wiring Diagrams:
Refer to the provided diagrams for correct wiring:
- For BOB5024: Use wiring diagram 'a' (Figure 5a).
- For BOB5024E: Use wiring diagram 'b' (Figure 5b).
Ensure the system is properly grounded using the special GND terminal.
Connection Table:
Terminal | Function (Diagram a) | Function (Diagram b) | Wire Color (a) | Wire Color (b) |
1 | M+ | M+ | Black wire | Black wire |
2 | M- | M- | Red wire | Red wire |

Electrical System Diagram:
The diagram illustrates the integration of the operator with other system components such as photocells, a key selector, and an indicator light. It specifies cable types and sizes (e.g., 2x0.5mm², 2x1.5mm², 2x2.5mm², 3x0.5mm², 4x0.5mm²) and provides crucial guidance on cable management.
Cable Management Notes:
- Keep power cables separate from auxiliary cables.
- For cable lengths less than 5m, use a 2x2.5mm² cable.
- For cable lengths between 5m and 10m, use a 2x4mm² cable.
- Connecting the control unit and motor with cables longer than 10m is not recommended.
