Multiple Reverse Osmosis Membrane Filter (MRO)

Model: WD-G2P6MRO

Replacement for the following water filtration system: Waterdrop G2 P600 Reverse Osmosis Water Filtration System

Filter Use: Up to 24 months or 3,300 gallons, whichever comes first. This may vary depending on filtered water consumption.

Note: This filter should not be used with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the system.

Getting Started

With the leak-free design, filters can be replaced directly without cutting off power and water. No tool is required.

Step 1: Prepare for Removal

Before removing the filter, please turn off the faucet first and wait for 30 seconds to fully release the internal pressure of the RO machine, which makes the filter easier to remove and install.

Step 2: Remove Old Filter

Twist off the filter counterclockwise (refer to Figure 1: Filter Removal).

Step 3: Prepare New Filter

Remove the shrink wrap and protective cap from the new filter.

Step 4: Insert New Filter

Insert the filter into the hole, aligning the arrow with the empty circle on the housing (refer to Figure 2: Filter Insertion Alignment).

Step 5: Secure New Filter

Apply slight forward pressure to the filter and rotate it a 1/4 turn clockwise, until the arrow is aligned with the solid circle on the housing. You may hear a click when the filter is fitted properly (refer to Figure 3: Filter Locking).

Step 6: Reset Filter Life Indicator

Reset the filter with reference to the following steps:

  • Step 6.1: Press the filter life reset indicator ⚙️ for 5 seconds (refer to Figure 4: Filter Life Indicator). Release the indicator when you hear a beep. Now filters are ready to be reset.
  • Step 6.2: Press the reset indicator and choose the MRO filter (there is no need to choose if only one filter expired). The MRO filter life indicator will flash when it is selected.
  • Step 6.3: Press the reset indicator for 5 seconds again. The reset is completed when you hear a beep. The MRO filter life indicator will be permanent blue.

NOTE: Please do NOT wait longer than 3 seconds between each step, otherwise the unit may exit the reset mode before it's complete.

Step 7: Flush the System

Turn on the RO faucet to flush for 30 minutes, until the filtering indicator is permanent blue.

Storage and Maintenance

  • Please replace the filter regularly according to the filter life indicator reminder.
  • Stored filters do not expire. Keep your unused filters in a cool, dark, and dry place until you need them.
  • The water source should meet the requirements of municipal tap water.
  • It is recommended to avoid placing the unit in direct sunlight.

Warning: ⚠️

  • To reduce the risk of property damage due to water leakage, this filter MUST be installed in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications and instructions.
  • Failure to follow instructions and operating specifications will void your warranty. Furthermore, the manufacturer shall not be liable for damage resulting from the misuse of the product.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why is water dispensing relatively slow after the filter is replaced?

A: There is some gas in the new filter, which will be discharged when the system starts working. After that, the water will come out of the faucet. When the faucet is turned off, the RO membrane will force the water to run out of the filter. Therefore, the water needs to refill this filter next time you use the RO system, which may slightly affect the water flow.

Q: Why is the TDS value higher after the filter replacement?

A: A protective fluid is on the membrane of the new filter, which affects the TDS value. Turn on the faucet and flush it for 30 minutes. The TDS value will then return to normal.

Q: What will happen if I do not change my filter when the filter life indicator light turns red?

A: Excessive use of the filter will reduce the filtration performance, causing contaminants to leak back into the water, which will affect your health. If the filter life indicator flashes or the faucet indicator turns red, it is recommended that you replace the filter immediately.

Q: Why is the filter life indicator still red after the filter has been changed?

A: You may have forgotten to reset the filter life indicator. Please reset it again: Press and hold the filter life indicator for 5 seconds until the system beeps and the blue light stays on.
