Introduction

This document provides operating instructions for the Anslut 013883 Bathroom Fan. It covers installation, use, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Safety Instructions

General Safety:

  • Disconnect the product from the mains supply before connecting, maintenance, or repair.
  • Installation, maintenance, and repair should only be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with these instructions.
  • The product is intended for connection to 230 V, 1-phase installations complying with local regulations.
  • Connect the product via a permanently installed automatic fuse with a minimum contact gap of 3 mm on all terminals.
  • Before installation, check that the impeller and casing are undamaged.
  • Ensure no foreign objects are present in the casing that could damage the fan blades.
  • Use the product only for its intended purpose and according to these instructions. Do not modify the product.
  • This product is not intended for use by persons (children or adults) with functional disorders or lack of experience/knowledge, unless supervised by a responsible person.
  • Keep children supervised to ensure they do not play with the product.
  • Take precautions to prevent smoke, carbon monoxide, and other combustion products from entering the room via open flues or other fire safety devices.
  • Ensure adequate air supply for proper combustion and chimney draught to prevent backflow.
  • The transported medium must not contain dust, solid particles, sticky substances, or fibres.
  • Do not use the product in explosive environments (near flammable liquids, gases, dust) or environments with toxic/harmful substances.
  • Do not block product openings to direct or adjust airflow.
  • The product is intended for permanent connection to the mains.

Electrical Safety:

New installations and extensions to existing systems must be carried out by an authorized electrician. If you have the necessary experience, you can replace switches, sockets, fit plugs, extension cords, and light sockets. Incorrect installation can lead to fatal injury and fire risk.

Installation

The product is designed for wall or ceiling installation and connection to round ventilation ducts.

  1. Disconnect the power supply. (See Figure 1: Electrical schematic showing Live, Neutral, Fuse, and Switch with ON/OFF states; Figure 2: Wall opening with wire).
  2. Remove the front cover. (See Figure 3: Fan unit being attached to a bracket).
  3. Mark and drill mounting holes. (See Figure 4: Mounting bracket attached with screws and plugs; Figure 5: Drilling, inserting plugs, screwing bracket).
  4. Fasten the product with screws. (See Figure 6: Securing the fan unit with screws).
  5. Connect the wires to the terminal block. (See Figure 7: Wiring connections to terminal block).
  6. Connect the power supply. (See Figure 8: Adjustment screws T and H).

Use

The product, equipped with a humidity sensor and timer for delayed shut-off, starts when control voltage is applied to terminal LT (ST) or when indoor humidity (H) exceeds the set point (60-90%).

When control voltage is interrupted or humidity drops, the fan continues to run for the set time (2-30 minutes). Adjust screws (T) and (H) to change timer or humidity sensor settings.

WARNING! The timer circuit is live. Ensure the mains supply is disconnected.

Maintenance

Perform maintenance at least every 6 months.

  1. Disconnect the power supply. (See Figure 9: Electrical connection diagram).
  2. Remove the front cover. (See Figure 10: Removing front cover).
  3. Clean the product with a cloth dampened with water and mild detergent. (See Figure 11: Cleaning the unit with a cloth).
  4. Clean the fan blades with a paintbrush. (See Figure 12: Cleaning fan blades with a brush).
  5. Rinse the front grille under running water. Wipe surfaces dry. (See Figure 13: Rinsing and drying the front grille).
  6. Fit the front grille. (See Figure 14: Reattaching the front grille).
  7. Connect the power supply.

NOTE: Ensure no water enters electrical components.

Troubleshooting
