FanttikRide K9 Series Electric Scooter User Manual

8. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Safety Reminder

  • This electric scooter is a leisure device. When used in a public area, it is considered a vehicle and subject to risks faced by vehicles. For your safety, please follow instructions in this manual and traffic laws and regulations set forth by government and regulatory agencies.
  • Understand that risks cannot be entirely avoided. Others may violate traffic regulations and drive incautiously, exposing you to road accidents similar to walking or biking. The faster the scooter, the longer it takes to stop. On a smooth surface, the scooter may slip, lose balance, and result in a fall. Use caution, maintain proper speed and distance, especially in unfamiliar areas.
  • Respect pedestrians' Right of Way. Do not startle them, especially children. When approaching from behind, ring your bell to give a heads-up and slow down to pass on their left (if vehicles drive on the right). When crossing paths with pedestrians, keep to the right at a low speed. When crossing roads with pedestrians, maintain the lowest speed or dismount.
  • Closely follow safety instructions in the manual for countries lacking specific electric scooter laws and regulations. FanttikRide shall not be liable for financial losses, physical injuries, accidents, legal disputes, or other conflicts resulting from actions that violate user instructions.
  • Do not lend your scooter to individuals unfamiliar with its operation. If lending to friends, ensure they know how to operate it and wear safety gear.
  • Check the scooter before every use. If you notice loose parts, low battery alerts, flat tires, excessive wear, strange sounds, or malfunctions, stop riding immediately and seek professional support.

WARNING - Risk of Fire - No User Serviceable Parts.

Important Safety Precautions (Visuals)

  • ⚠️ Do not keep your feet on the rear fender brake.
  • ⚠️ Do not touch the rear fender brake immediately after riding.
  • ⚠️ Do not keep your hands away from handlebar.
  • ⚠️ Do not try riding up or down stairs, and jumping over obstacles.

9. FOLDING AND CARRYING

Fold

Make sure that the scooter is turned off. Pull up the release sleeve and lower the handlebar stem to fold.

Carry

Hold the handlebar stem with either one hand or both hands to carry.

10. DAILY CARE AND MAINTENANCE

Cleaning and Storage

If you see stains on the scooter's body, wipe them off with a damp cloth. For stubborn stains, use toothpaste and a toothbrush, then wipe with a damp cloth. For scratches on plastic parts, use sandpaper or other abrasive materials to polish them.

  • Do not clean the scooter with alcohol, gasoline, kerosene, or other corrosive and volatile chemical solvents to prevent damage.
  • Do not wash the scooter with a high-pressure water spray.
  • During cleaning, ensure the scooter is turned off, the charging cable is unplugged, and the rubber flap is closed to prevent water leakage, which could cause electric shock or other major problems.

When the scooter is not in use, keep it indoors in a dry and cool place. Do not leave it outdoors for extended periods. Excessive sunlight, overheating, and overcooling accelerate tire aging and compromise the scooter and battery pack lifespan.

Battery Maintenance

  1. Use original battery packs; using other models or brands may pose safety risks.
  2. Do not touch the contacts. Do not dismantle or puncture the casing. Keep contacts away from metal objects to prevent short circuits, which can damage the battery or cause injuries and deaths.
  3. Use the original power adapter to avoid potential damage or fire.
  4. Mishandling used batteries can harm the environment. Dispose of used batteries according to local regulations.
  5. After every use, fully charge the battery to prolong its lifespan.

Do not place the battery in environments with ambient temperatures higher than 113°F (45°C) or lower than 14°F (-10°C) (e.g., do not leave the scooter or battery pack in a car under direct sunlight for extended periods). Do not throw the battery pack into fire, as it may lead to battery failure, overheating, or fire. If the scooter will be idle for more than 30 days, fully charge the battery and store it in a dry, cool place. Recharge it every 60 days to protect the battery from potential damage, which is beyond limited warranty.

Always charge before the battery is fully depleted to prolong its lifespan. The battery performs best at normal temperatures and poorly below 32°F (0°C). For instance, below -4°F (-20°C), the riding range may be halved. The riding range restores as the temperature rises.

Note: A fully charged FanttikRide K9 / K9 Pro / K9 Apex Electric Scooter typically takes 3-6 hours. The built-in intelligent chip logs charging and discharging records. Damage from prolonged non-charging is irreversible and voids the warranty. Non-professionals are forbidden from dismantling the battery pack due to risks of electric shock, short circuits, or major safety accidents.
