Adjusting Fresh Food and Freezer Compartment Temperature:
For your convenience, your refrigerator and freezer controls are preset at the factory. When you first install your refrigerator, ensure the controls are set to the recommended set points. The factory recommended set points are 37°F (3°C) for the refrigerator and 0°F (-18°C) for the freezer. Pressing the Temperature up or Temperature down button will toggle temperature set points.
Modes and Features
Key Lock ?
Press and hold the Lock button for 3 seconds to activate the lock feature. To deactivate, press and hold the Lock button for 3 seconds. The lock feature ignores all interaction with the control panel until unlocked, preventing unintentional setting changes.
Door Open Alarm ?⚠️
The Door Open Alarm sounds and the “Door Ajar” icon blinks when any door is open for 5 minutes or more. The alarm repeats every 2 minutes. Close all doors to turn it off. To temporarily mute the alarm while a door is open (e.g., during cleaning), touch any button on the control panel. The Door Ajar icon will remain displayed.
Temperature Unit (°C or °F)
Press and hold the “Temperature up” and “Temperature down” buttons for 3 seconds to switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit.
Freezer Ice Maker ?
Press and hold the Freezer button for 3 seconds to activate or deactivate the Freezer Ice maker. The default setting is ON. When the ice maker is off, the Freezer Ice icon will be illuminated.
Vacation Mode ✈️
This mode conserves energy when the appliance is not in regular use. The fresh food compartment temperature automatically sets to 53.6°F (12°C). IMPORTANT: Remove all food and drinks from the fresh food compartment before activating Vacation Mode. Pressing the Mode button to select Fast Cool or Fast Freeze will turn off Vacation Mode.
Fast Freeze ⚡?
Assists with periods of high freezer use, full grocery loads, or temporarily warm room temperatures. Activate or deactivate via the Mode button. After placing fresh food in the freezer, 24 hours on Fast Freeze is generally sufficient; it deactivates automatically after 24 hours.
Fast Cool ⚡❄️
Assists with periods of high refrigerator use, full grocery loads, or temporarily warm room temperatures. Activate or deactivate via the Mode button. The Fast Cool feature remains on for 2.5 hours unless manually turned off.
Sabbath Mode ?
To activate or turn off Sabbath Mode, use the Mode button. The mode stays active for 80 hours once activated, then deactivates automatically. When in Sabbath mode, buttons, display, and internal lights do not function, but the refrigerator and freezer continue to cool.
Mode Button ⚙️
Press the Mode button to activate a function, then press again to cycle through modes: “Fast Cool”, “Fast Freeze”, “Vacation”, “Sabbath”. For example, selecting Sabbath mode will cause the Sabbath INDICATOR to flash, and after 3 seconds, the mode will activate and the Sabbath INDICATOR will remain illuminated. Press and hold the Mode button for 3 seconds to reset the mode.
IMPORTANT: Wait 24 hours before putting food into the refrigerator. Adding food before the refrigerator has cooled completely may cause spoilage.
NOTE: Adjusting set points to a colder than recommended setting will not cool compartments faster. If temperatures are incorrect, first check air vents for blockages before adjusting controls. Recommended settings should be correct for normal household use. Adjustments may be needed for areas with higher humidity or extreme temperatures (e.g., garages, basements). Wait at least 24 hours between adjustments and recheck temperatures.
