Scosche HY1615B In-Dash Stereo Installation Kit for 2007 Hyundai Elantra (Radio Delete Option)

Introduction/Preliminary

This premium installation kit is for 2007 Hyundai Elantra vehicles. It includes all the parts necessary to mount your car stereo or CD player into your vehicle's dash. Refer to the individual instructions in this manual to remove your vehicle's factory radio and assemble the kit.

CAUTION: DISCONNECT YOUR VEHICLE'S NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL BEFORE THE INSTALLATION TO HELP PREVENT ELECTRICAL DAMAGE. WE RECOMMEND THE USE OF A VOLT/OHM METER OVER A TEST LIGHT TO CHECK WIRING. A TEST LIGHT OR GROUNDED WIRE PROBE CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE'S COMPUTER AND/OR DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS. AVOID ALL FACTORY AIRBAG WIRING – AIRBAGS CAN ACCIDENTALLY DEPLOY CAUSING SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH.

Factory Stereo Removal

RADIO REMOVAL

1. Using a panel removal tool, remove the dash bezel around the radio. Disconnect and remove panel.
2. Extract (4) Phillips head screws securing the radio to the dash. Disconnect and remove.

Mounting the Stereo

ATTACHING THE SINGLE DIN STEREO

This section describes mounting a single DIN stereo.

1. Align and position the aftermarket stereo with the left and right mounting brackets, starting from the back of the mounting panel.
2. Slide the aftermarket stereo into the top position of the kit as shown.
3. Use the hardware supplied with the aftermarket stereo and mount the radio to the 6371 mounting panel.
4. Slide the pocket into the bottom portion of the kit, then secure with supplied screws.

ATTACHING THE DOUBLE DIN STEREO

This section describes mounting a double DIN stereo.

Diagram Description: This diagram illustrates the installation of a double DIN stereo. It depicts the "DOUBLE DIN STEREO" being positioned within the "6371 MOUNTING PANEL" using side mounting brackets. The diagram also shows "REAR SUPPORT STRAPS" that can be attached to the back of the stereo for added stability, noting that these supports may be available separately.

NOTE: REAR SUPPORTING THE STEREO ADDS TO THE INSTALLATION'S STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY. REAR SUPPORT AVAILABLE SEPARATELY.

1. Align and position the aftermarket double DIN stereo with the left and right mounting brackets, starting from the back of the mounting panel.
2. Slide the aftermarket stereo into the top position of the kit as shown.
3. Use the hardware supplied with the aftermarket stereo and mount the radio to the 6371 mounting panel.

CAR STEREO CONNECTORS

Provide easy connection of your car stereo to factory wiring harness.

Diagram Description: This diagram displays two distinct wiring harnesses used for connecting an aftermarket stereo to the vehicle's factory wiring. One harness is labeled "HY07B" and is specified for the "2007 Hyundai Elantra". The second harness is labeled "HY08B" and is designated for the "2007 Hyundai Elantra Premium Sound Only". Each harness features a white plastic connector.
