Thank you for choosing a product from the Wassermann range. Wassermann Dental-Maschinen incorporates the highest standards of quality and the latest technology. To ensure maximum performance and years of trouble-free operation, please read this user manual carefully before connecting and operating the device. Operation safety and functionality are guaranteed only by following general safety guidelines, applicable laws, and the precautions in this manual. Wassermann Dental-Maschinen GmbH is not liable for damages resulting from inappropriate usage or faulty operation.

3 Safety Guidelines

Configuring and operating this equipment requires precise knowledge and observance of the instructions in this user manual. The equipment is designed only for its intended application.

[Warning] NEVER OPEN the housing – life-threatening high voltage and it will void any warranty! Servicing and repairs should be carried out only by authorized specialists. Disconnect the power plug before starting any maintenance work. Ensure the equipment is connected to the correct power source.

Never open the filling flap while the unit is running. The unit cannot be started when the filling flap is open.

Never open the residues drawer while the unit is running.

Never use the unit with solvents – there is a risk of explosion.

The water in the washing cabinet is not suitable for drinking.

Before cleaning, wear heat-resistant gloves and eye protection.

If the unit is not used for a long time, turn off the tap and switch off the unit.

The tap must be equipped with a backflow preventer and ventilation (washing machine tap).

[Warning] If there is a water leak inside the unit, the humidity sensor switches the device off automatically.

The safety pressure switch switches off the unit automatically at an operating pressure of 7 bar.

The safety valve of the pressure vessel automatically opens at an operating pressure of more than 9 bar.

4 Responsibility for Operation or Damage

The responsibility for operating the device lies exclusively with the owner or user if the device is incorrectly serviced, maintained, or altered by persons not employed by an authorized dealer, or if the device is used contrary to its specified purpose. The unit must be maintained and operated in accordance with this user manual. Wassermann Dental-Maschinen GmbH is not responsible for damage arising from the non-observance of these instructions.

Wassermann Dental-Maschinen GmbH is not liable for damages and/or defects arising from the use of the unit on dental trays or retention plates. Warranty and responsibility provisions in the sales and supply conditions of Wassermann Dental-Maschinen GmbH are not extended by these instructions.

4.1 Warranty

[Information] The warranty period for the equipment is 12 months. If faults occur within the warranty period, contact your dental depot or the service department.

Operate your equipment only in perfect condition. If faults occur that could harm operators or third parties, the unit must not be used until it has been fixed.

This warranty does not cover damage caused by improper use, external mechanical causes, transport damage, or interference with the unit by unauthorized persons.

5 Application

The pressure cleaning unit is designed for cleaning metal or plastic dental trays and retention plates made of plastic. Only use the device for this specific application.

6 Before Starting

6.1 Transport

Before transporting the unit, ensure it is unplugged from the power socket. Make sure it is packed correctly to avoid accidental damage.

[Information] Check for any transport damage when unpacking. Note down any damage found.

6.2 Installation

Open the box, remove packing materials, and carefully lift out the device and accessories. Check the included accessories.

The device must stand horizontally on a steady and even surface.

[Warning] Install the device where it will not block the working area or functionality (consider dimensions). Ensure approximately 10 cm of free space on each side for air circulation (heat dissipation).

[Information] Do not install the unit outdoors or in places without proper ventilation. Before start-up, ensure the device reaches room temperature.

6.3 Storage

The unit location is important for workplace safety. The room should be dry, well-ventilated, and vibration-free. An even temperature and wooden supports are beneficial. Do not store or set up the unit outdoors. If storing for an extended period, protect it from moisture and dust.

7 Installation/ Start-up

[Information] Your unit has been checked for faultless operation; residual water may be present inside.

Before starting the unit, connect the following:

The unit must be installed according to installation regulations: the water supply line must be connected to a suitable tap, and the water discharge must be firmly fixed with a free outlet.

Finally, insert the power plug into the socket, ensuring mains and unit operate on the same voltage. Ensure the electrical equipment's earthing system is installed according to applicable electrotechnical regulations.

[Warning] Never use an extension cable for the connection.

[Warning] Never leave the unit running unattended.

[Warning] Never use the unit without opening the tap and connecting the water drainage in advance.

8 Operation

8.1 General Operating Instructions

All instructions are based on Wassermann's experience and experimentation and serve as guidelines.

8.1.1 Main Switch

8.1.2 Filling Flap (Washing Drum)

The filling flap is located at the upper front of the unit. Open it using the fixed handle with little effort. Never open the filling flap while the unit is running. The unit cannot be started when the filling flap is open.

8.1.3 Flap (Residues Drawer)

The flap of the residues drawer is located at the lower front of the unit. Open it using the fixed handle with little effort. Never open the residues drawer while the unit is running.

8.1.4 Residues Drawer

The residues drawer is located behind the drawer flap. It can be removed by opening the flap and pulling the drawer forward. The residues drawer must be cleaned and rinsed after every two wash cycles. Always check if the residues drawer is in the unit before starting a program run.

8.2 Preparation of the Fully Automatic Cleaning

8.2.1 Water Tap and Water Drain

Open the tap and ensure there are no visible leaks and the drain hose is properly attached.

8.2.2 Main Switch

Switch on the unit: Main switch at the rear side of the unit to "I".

8.2.3 Filling the Washing Drum with Impression Trays made of Plastic or Metal

Sort impression trays into metal and plastic. Pretreatment is not required. Open the filling flap on the sloping top and leave it open. Fill the drum with a maximum of 25 impression trays. Loading more than 25 trays will result in poorer cleaning. Avoid overloading. After filling, close the filling flap.

8.2.4 Filling the Washing Drum with Retention Plates made of Plastic

For retention plates, follow points 8.2.1 and 8.2.2. Fill the washing drum with a maximum of 50 retention plates.

8.3 Check the Residues Drawer

Before starting the cleaning program, always check that the residues drawer is in the unit and has been emptied. The DTC Economy is now ready for operation.

8.3.1 Green Button: Cleaning Program for Impression Trays made of Plastic or Metal

To clean impression trays, press the green button. Program duration: 2 minutes.

8.3.2 White Button: Cleaning Program for Retention Plates made of Plastic

To clean retention plates, press the white button. Program duration: 1 minute.

8.3.3 Red Button: EMERGENCY OFF-SWITCH!

Pressing the red button stops the cleaning process immediately. The machine can then be restarted.

[Warning] Due to very high water pressure, never open the filling flap or residues drawer while the unit is running.

8.3.4 Remove the clean Impression Trays / Retention Plates

When the cleaning process is complete, open the filling flap and remove the clean impression trays/retention plates from the washing drum.

8.3.5 Switch off the Unit

If the device is not in use, switch it off by setting the main switch in the rear to "0".

8.3.6 Closing the Tap

Close the water supply.

9 Troubleshooting

10 Care and Maintenance

10.1 Cleaning

[Warning] Disconnect the power plug before starting any maintenance work. Keep the identification plate legible and do not remove it.

[Information] Every day, remove any impression material from the washing drum and residues drawer.

[Information] Clean the filter, located under the residues drawer, as required, at least once a week.

[Information] Remove external dirt periodically with a cold cleaner. Use only cold cleaners to avoid damaging paintwork or lettering. Clean the equipment at regular intervals for trouble-free operation. Normal cleaning (sponge, damp cloth, mild detergent) is sufficient; no chemical additives are needed.

10.2 Maintenance

The unit requires no servicing. Ensure the device is kept clean.

10.3 Repairs

[Warning] Servicing or repairs must only be carried out by qualified technicians. Only original spare parts are to be used. Responsibility for the product is void if unauthorized persons alter it or install inappropriate components.

12 Disposing of the Unit

The unit must be disposed of by an authorized recycling operation. The selected company must be informed of all possibly health-hazardous residues in the unit.

12.1 Information on Disposal for Countries within the EU

[WEEE Symbol] To conserve and protect the environment, prevent environmental pollution, and improve the recycling of raw materials, the European Commission adopted a directive requiring manufacturers to accept the return of electrical and electronic units for proper disposal or recycling. Units within the European Union bearing this symbol should not be disposed of in unsorted domestic waste. For more information regarding proper disposal, please contact your local authorities.
