Initial Setup and Configuration
For Gen 2 Starlink systems, an Ethernet Adapter is required to connect another router. This adapter is available at the Starlink Shop.
When connecting to another router, it is recommended to set your Starlink router to "Bypass Mode". Please enable Bypass Mode in the Starlink app before connecting the D-Link router. To disable Bypass Mode, perform a factory reset on your Starlink router.
Access your D-Link router via your web browser at: https://192.168.200.1
. The factory-assigned login password is printed on the label on the back of the router.
Navigate to Settings > Internet. Select “Dynamic IP (DHCP)” as the connection type.
Under Advanced Settings, set the MTU value to 1492. Click Save to apply these changes.

Key fields visible are 'My Internet Connection is', set to 'Dynamic IP (DHCP)', followed by 'Host Name', 'Primary DNS Server', 'Secondary DNS Server', 'MTU' (with '1492' entered), and 'MAC Address Clone'. A 'Save' button is located at the bottom right of this section.]
Troubleshooting: Adding a Static Route
If the Starlink app indicates "Starlink unreachable", you may need to add a static route in your D-Link router.
Navigate to Features > Static Routes and click on "Add Route".
Configure the new route with the following details:
- Destination Network:
192.168.100.0
- Mask:
255.255.255.0
- Gateway:
192.168.100.1
- Metric:
1
- Interface:
WAN
