OnePlus Buds Z2

Earbuds and Charging Box

The OnePlus Buds Z2 include two wireless earbuds and a charging case. Each earbud has a touch-sensitive stem. The charging case stores and charges the earbuds, featuring an indicator lamp, setup button, and charging port.

Pairing and Connecting

For Android, use Google Fast Pair. For other phones, open the charging case, press and hold the setup button for 2s to enter Bluetooth settings, then select 'OnePlus Buds Z2'.

Factory Reset: With the case open, press and hold the setup button for 10s until the indicator lamp blinks red (OnePlus 6+ supported).

Replacing Ear Tips

Select the correct ear tip size for optimal comfort and noise cancellation. Various sizes (S, M, L) are provided in the accessories.

Buds Details and App Integration

On OnePlus phones (6+), customize bud details and update software via Settings > Bluetooth.

For non-OnePlus phones, download the 'HeyMelody' app (Google Play/App Store) to access features and update software.

Play Control

Customize single, double, and triple-tap functions on either earbud for various commands:

Single-Tap: Play/Pause (default). Options: Play/Pause, Previous, Next.
Double-tap: Next (default). Options: Play/Pause, Previous, Next, Voice Assistant.
Triple-tap: Previous (default). Options: Play/Pause, Previous, Next, Voice Assistant.

Noise Control

Press and hold the touch area for 1s to toggle between 'Max noise cancellation' and 'Transparency' modes. Access other modes via Settings > Buds details.

Other Function Control

Call Control

Answer/End: Double-tap.
Reject: Press and hold for 3s.

Switch Device

Press and hold either bud for 3s to reconnect to the previous device.

In-ear Detection

Music pauses automatically when earbuds are removed and resumes when reinserted within 3 minutes.

Charge the Buds

Place earbuds in the charging case.

Charge the Charging Case

Connect the charging case to a power supply using the provided cable.
