Pairing and Connecting
For OnePlus 6 (or later versions): Enable Bluetooth on your OnePlus mobile phone, open the charging case of the buds, place the charging case close to the phone, and follow the prompts.
For other Android/iOS phones: Put your earbuds into the charging case with the cover opened. Press and hold the setup button of the charging case for 2s to enter Bluetooth settings. Then, select "OnePlus Buds 3".
Restore factory settings: Place the buds into the charging case with the cover opened. Press and hold the setup button of the charging case for 15s until the indicator blinks red.
Buds Details
For OnePlus 6 (or later versions): You can set buds details and upgrade the software version of the earbuds under Settings > Bluetooth.
For other Android/iOS phones: Download and install HeyMelody to obtain features of the earbuds and upgrade the software version for an enhanced listening experience. Please download HeyMelody from Google Play Store or App Store.
Replacing Ear Tips
Use ear tips in the appropriate size to enjoy optimal comfort and noise cancellation experience. Check the earbuds accessories for ear tips in different sizes. The medium size comes already attached.
Volume Adjustment
Users can slide up and down on the touch area of the earbuds to control the volume. Slide up on the touch area: turn up the volume. Slide down on the touch area: turn down the volume.
Play Control
You can customize the single-tap, double-tap, and triple-tap functions of the left and right earbuds on the phone to perform different commands:
- Single-Tap (default): "None"
- Double-tap (default): "Next", "Answer/End calls"
- Triple-tap (default): "Previous"
Noise Control
Press 1.5s: Press and hold the touch area for 1.5 seconds to switch between "noise reduction" and "transparency" modes by default. To switch between different modes, go to Settings > Buds details.
Charging the Buds
Battery level: When earbuds are inside the charging case, the indicator shows the earbuds' battery level. When earbuds are removed from the charging case, the indicator shows the charging case's battery level.
- Green indicator: high battery level
- Yellow indicator: medium battery level
- Red indicator: low battery level
Earbuds: Place earbuds into the charging case, and they will be charged automatically.
Charging case: Use a Type-C cable to charge the charging case.
Safety & Security Information
Before using the device, please read and observe the following considerations to ensure the best performance and avoid dangerous or illegal situations.
- Temperature Range: Use the device between 0°C and +35°C; store between -10°C and +50°C. Extreme temperatures may cause malfunction. Battery performance may be compromised below 5°C.
- Charging Environment: Charge in a well-ventilated area between 5°C and 35°C. Fast charging may not function below 15°C or above 35°C.
- Charging Duration: Do not charge the battery for over 12 hours.
- Adapter: The adapter, as the disconnect device from the mains, should be installed near the device and easily accessible.
- Approved Accessories: Use only manufacturer-approved chargers, cables, and batteries to prevent hazards.
- Battery Handling: Do not replace, disassemble, modify, crush, or cut the battery, as it may cause leakage, overheating, explosion, or fire.
- Environmental Hazards: Do not expose the device or battery to direct sunlight, heat sources, or low air pressure locations, which may lead to explosion or leakage.
- Battery Lifespan: Batteries can be charged hundreds of times but will eventually wear out.
- Battery Disposal: Recycle or dispose of batteries separately from household waste. Mishandling can cause fire or explosion.
- Environment: Avoid dusty, smoky, damp, dirty, or magnetic environments to prevent damage.
- Damaged Product: If any part is cracked or damaged, discontinue use and contact the Service Center.
- Hearing Protection: Avoid listening at high volume levels for extended periods to prevent hearing damage.
- Volume Levels: Listening at high volume can cause auditory disorders. It is recommended not to use the device at full volume or for more than one hour daily at medium volume.
- Explosive Atmospheres: Power off the device in potentially explosive atmospheres, blasting areas, or near blasting caps. Comply with all signs and instructions.
- Restricted Areas: Observe safety instructions in hospitals, service stations, schools, garages, and aircraft.
- Driving Safety: Do not use the device while driving and adhere to all safety warnings and regulations.
- Medical Implants: If you have electronic implants (pacemakers, insulin pumps, etc.), keep the device 15 cm away from the implant or on the opposite side.
- Child Safety: Keep the device and accessories out of reach of small children. Small parts may pose a choking hazard.
