Getting Started

The camera is designed to power up and record automatically when it receives power, saving video and turning off when the car shuts off.

Auto Power ON/OFF:

Plug the Hardwire kit into your car's fuse box. When the car engine is on, the dash cam will turn ON and start recording automatically. When the car key is turned to the LOCK position, the dash cam automatically saves the recording and turns OFF.

Note:

Installation

Install the front camera behind the rear-view mirror. Remove any foreign matter and clean and dry the windshield before installation.

  1. Turn off the engine. Gently push the microSD card into the slot until it locks into place. (Use a Class 10 or above high-speed U3 micro-SD card).
  2. Find a suitable place on the windshield that does not obstruct the driver's field of vision. Remove any foreign matter, clean, and dry the windshield. Tear off the protective layer of the electrostatic sticker and adhere it to the windshield to prevent marks or glue residue after removal.
  3. Peel off the protective film from the double-sided tape and attach the front camera to the electrostatic sticker. Adjust the angle of the lens by rotating the body of the front camera.
  4. Plug the 3-Lead Auto Trigger Hardwire Kit into your car's fuse box and the front camera. Use the pry tool to lift the edges of the windshield trim/molding and tuck in the power cord.
  5. Turn on the engine. The dashcam will power up and start recording. Video files are stored on the microSD card. Turn off the engine; the dashcam will automatically stop recording and power down.

Notes on WiFi:

What is a WiFi Feature?

The WiFi feature allows wireless pairing of your dash camera with your smartphone, enabling instant access to recordings. You can view, download, and share videos easily. It functions similarly to connecting a Bluetooth speaker to a smartphone for music, but uses WiFi signal for pairing.

What is the WiFi Range?

The WiFi signal range is approximately 10FT without obstructions. Similar to home WiFi, the range is limited to about 10FT from the device.

Can I watch the videos around my car remotely?

Yes, the S17 Pro has a built-in 4G module, enabling remote viewing of vehicle status, remote capture, remote monitor, driving track, vibration alarms, capture records, auto find car, traffic management, and device management.

For Android phones:

When installing the AZDOME APP, you will see two pop-up prompts. Select 'While using the APP' to allow AZDOME access to device location, and select 'Allow' to access photos and media. For the first time, after connecting to the S17 Pro's WiFi, it will indicate 'No Internet'. This is normal. Wait 10-15 seconds for a pop-up notification. Tap this notification and select that you want to stay connected even without internet access. Once confirmed, you are ready to go.

For iPhone:

If you encounter a pop-up asking about trying WiFi, ensure you tap on 'Keep Trying WiFi'. Otherwise, the camera may disconnect from WiFi, requiring you to forget the AZDOME WiFi and re-pair.

8.3 Format Micro-SD Card

There are two ways to format the Micro-SD card:

  1. Press and hold the [WiFi button] for more than 8 seconds, then release it to restore factory settings and format the memory card. A success message will appear on the screen upon completion.
  2. Connect to the dash cam's WiFi via the AZDOME APP. Click the settings icon in the upper right corner of the real-time preview page to find the formatting menu.

Dashcam Settings

9.1 General Settings

Parking Mode

This function requires the Type-C 3-Lead Hardwire Kit (included). It offers three options:

Time-lapse video parking monitoring time: 8 hours, 12 hours (Default), 24 hours, always.

Fatigue Driving Reminder: Off (Default) / 1 hour / 2 hours / 4 hours. Alerts with sounds after a set duration.

Screen Save: Screen Saver Off (Default) / Screen Off After 1-Min. 'Screen Saver Off' keeps the screen always on. 'Screen Off After 1-Min' turns the screen off after 1 minute of inactivity.

Volume, Ringtone & Voice Control

Note on Voice Control: Voice control accuracy is approximately 90% and may be activated unintentionally by ambient noise. Deactivate via the AZDOME APP settings if not required.

Parking mode:

A 15S vibration alarm video is uploaded to your phone APP.
  2. When the car engine is turned OFF, the dashcam powers off and enters parking sleep mode. Click "Remote Monitor" / "Remote Capture" on the APP to wake up the dashcam. A waiting prompt message will appear on the APP. When the device status is online, you can click "Remote Monitor" / "Remote Capture" again to operate (each wake-up lasts for 3 minutes).
  3. Time-Lapse Parking Mode: When the car engine is turned OFF, the dashcam turns off the screen and enters the 1fps Time-Lapse Parking Mode, remaining online. Click "Remote Monitor" / "Remote Capture" on the APP to operate normally. If the car is hit and the impact reaches the set G-Sensor level, the camera will record a 1-min continuous video, save & lock it in the Event folder. A 15S vibration alarm video will be uploaded to your phone APP.

11. Playing Video Files Using Your Computer

  1. Remove the microSD card from the dashcam.
  2. Insert the card into a microSD card reader and connect it to your computer.
  3. The files should be accessible as a drive (e.g., "D:\", "E:\\"). Double-click the drive to access file folders: Normal, Event, and Photo.
    • Normal: Saves video files in a loop, overwriting older files when storage is needed.
    • Event: Video files are locked and protected from deletion by the loop recording function.
    • Photo: Stores captured photos.
