The camera is designed to power up and record automatically when it receives power, saving video and turning off when the car shuts off.
Auto Power ON/OFF:
Plug the Hardwire kit into your car's fuse box. When the car engine is on, the dash cam will turn ON and start recording automatically. When the car key is turned to the LOCK position, the dash cam automatically saves the recording and turns OFF.
Note:
- The dash cam will automatically update its time when connected to the AZDOME APP via WiFi.
Installation
Install the front camera behind the rear-view mirror. Remove any foreign matter and clean and dry the windshield before installation.
- Turn off the engine. Gently push the microSD card into the slot until it locks into place. (Use a Class 10 or above high-speed U3 micro-SD card).
- Find a suitable place on the windshield that does not obstruct the driver's field of vision. Remove any foreign matter, clean, and dry the windshield. Tear off the protective layer of the electrostatic sticker and adhere it to the windshield to prevent marks or glue residue after removal.
- Peel off the protective film from the double-sided tape and attach the front camera to the electrostatic sticker. Adjust the angle of the lens by rotating the body of the front camera.
- Plug the 3-Lead Auto Trigger Hardwire Kit into your car's fuse box and the front camera. Use the pry tool to lift the edges of the windshield trim/molding and tuck in the power cord.
- Turn on the engine. The dashcam will power up and start recording. Video files are stored on the microSD card. Turn off the engine; the dashcam will automatically stop recording and power down.

Troubleshooting Connection Issues:
If the app does not show live video and only displays a picture of the beach:
- The connection stability may be affected by the 4G network operator. Try connecting again after turning off cellular data. Ensure that the Local Network of 'AZDOME' is turned on.
- For Latest iOS System: Go to Settings → AZDOME → Click ‘Wireless Data’ → Select ‘WLAN’.
- For Older iOS System: Go to Settings → AZDOME → Disable ‘Cellular Data’.
Notes on WiFi:
- WiFi Direct allows direct smartphone connection to the dash cam via WiFi within a range of 10FT.
- Once connected to the AZDOME APP, the date/time will automatically update.

What is a WiFi Feature?
The WiFi feature allows wireless pairing of your dash camera with your smartphone, enabling instant access to recordings. You can view, download, and share videos easily. It functions similarly to connecting a Bluetooth speaker to a smartphone for music, but uses WiFi signal for pairing.
What is the WiFi Range?
The WiFi signal range is approximately 10FT without obstructions. Similar to home WiFi, the range is limited to about 10FT from the device.
Can I watch the videos around my car remotely?
Yes, the S17 Pro has a built-in 4G module, enabling remote viewing of vehicle status, remote capture, remote monitor, driving track, vibration alarms, capture records, auto find car, traffic management, and device management.
For Android phones:
When installing the AZDOME APP, you will see two pop-up prompts. Select 'While using the APP' to allow AZDOME access to device location, and select 'Allow' to access photos and media. For the first time, after connecting to the S17 Pro's WiFi, it will indicate 'No Internet'. This is normal. Wait 10-15 seconds for a pop-up notification. Tap this notification and select that you want to stay connected even without internet access. Once confirmed, you are ready to go.
For iPhone:
If you encounter a pop-up asking about trying WiFi, ensure you tap on 'Keep Trying WiFi'. Otherwise, the camera may disconnect from WiFi, requiring you to forget the AZDOME WiFi and re-pair.
8.3 Format Micro-SD Card
There are two ways to format the Micro-SD card:
- Press and hold the [WiFi button] for more than 8 seconds, then release it to restore factory settings and format the memory card. A success message will appear on the screen upon completion.
