Introduction to Your New Emulsifier-Mixer
Robot Coupe introduces the Blixer®, a new concept combining the features of a cutter and a blender-mixer. Designed for professional needs, it prepares mixed liquid or semi-liquid, raw or cooked meals, excelling where blenders fall short with solid foods. Its simple design allows easy component handling for maintenance and cleaning. This manual provides detailed fitting operations and important information for optimal use.
Models Covered:
- Blixer® 5 Plus
- Blixer® 5 V.V.
- Blixer® 6
- Blixer® 6 V.V.
Switching On the Machine
Advice on Electrical Connections
Ensure your power supply matches the machine's identification plate. The appliance must be plugged into an earthed socket [risk of electrocution]. For three-phase models, verify the blade rotates anti-clockwise; swap wires if necessary. For single-phase models, a 200-240V / 50 or 60 Hz supply with an earthed socket is required. The standardized plug for variable speed models should be calibrated to at least 13 amps, preferably 20 amps for intensive use.
Control Panel
Red switch: Off switch
Green switch: On switch
Three-phase models (Blixer® 5 Plus, 5 V.V., 6 V.V.): Pulse control.
Three-phase Blixer® 5 Plus / Blixer® 6: Speed selector (1500 or 3000 rpm).
Single phase Blixer® 5 Plus: One speed (3000 rpm).
Blixer® 5 V.V. / Blixer® 6 V.V.: Variable speed (300 to 3500 rpm).
Assembly
1. Position the cutter bowl on the motor base.
2. Turn the bowl clockwise until it locks.
3. Engage the blade on the motor shaft, ensuring it is correctly positioned at the bottom of the bowl.
4. Place the lid on the bowl and rotate clockwise until it clicks. The device is ready for use.
Uses and Examples
The Blixer® is designed for efficient cutting tasks. Recommended uses include:
Hospital Uses:
- Spoon Feeding: Minced foods (meat, fish), vegetable purees, mousses, fruit compotes.
- Semi-Liquid Feeding: Diluted preparations like minced meat with gravy, purees with liquid, soups, creamed soups, fruit compotes.
- Liquid Feeding (for tubes): Soups and liquidized preparations.
Restaurants and Delicatessen Uses:
- Butter mixtures, sauces (mayonnaise, remoulade), emulsified sauces.
- Grinding ingredients like lobster, scampi, seashells.
Pharmaceutical and Chemical Laboratory Uses:
- Grinding herbs, seeds, powders, tablets.
- Homogenizing creams, ointments, and mixed components.
Hygiene and Cleaning
Hygiene
Clean the machine and attachments before and after each use. Process foods in an order that minimizes cross-contamination (e.g., cooked meat before cheese, cheese before vegetables). All parts in contact with food must be cleaned meticulously with a detergent/sanitiser.
[Warning]: NEVER USE PURE BLEACH. Follow detergent manufacturer instructions. Use a soft brush or cloth; avoid abrasive pads. Allow detergent to work, rinse well, and dry with a soft cloth.
Cleaning Instructions:
[Warning]: Always unplug the appliance before cleaning.
Motor Base:
Clean with a damp cloth or sponge. Never immerse in water.
Bowl:
Remove the bowl by its handle trigger. If food is solid, remove the blade and empty. Replace bowl and blade, then briefly switch on to clear residue. Rinse with hot water if needed.
Blade:
The stainless steel blade is easy to dismantle and clean. Dry thoroughly after cleaning to prevent rust.
Scraper Arm:
Dismantle by holding the arm and hub, pressing, and turning the handle 45° anti-clockwise. Clean the pieces. Reassembly: do not over-tighten.
[Important]: Check detergent suitability for plastic parts; avoid highly alkaline agents.
Maintenance
Blade: Blade sharpness affects cut quality. Blades are wearing parts and should be replaced periodically.
Scraper Arm: Rubber pieces are wearing parts and require occasional replacement for optimal efficiency.
Motor Seal: Lubricate regularly with food-safe lubricant. Check for wear and tear and replace if necessary. Replacement is possible without removing the motor.

Electrical Data
Detailed electrical data tables are provided for three-phase and single-phase models, including voltage, speed, and intensity (Amps). Refer to the original document for specific values for each model (e.g., Blixer® 5 Plus three-phase, Blixer® 5 Plus single-phase, Blixer® 5 V.V. single-phase, Blixer® 6 three-phase, Blixer® 6 V.V. single-phase).
Safety
[Warning]: Blades are extremely sharp. Handle with care.
Models are equipped with a magnetic safety device and motor braking system. The motor stops when the lid is opened. To restart, close the lid and press the green switch. Stop the machine before opening the lid for liquid preparations to avoid splashing.
A thermal cut-out automatically stops the motor if the machine is left on too long or overloaded. Allow it to cool completely before restarting.
Remember:
- Never override safety systems.
- Never introduce objects into the container during operation.
- Never push ingredients down with your hand.
- Do not overload the appliance.
Standards
Consult the Declaration of Compliance on page 2.
