Installation Tools
The following tools are required for installation:
- Spirit Level
- Electric Drill
- Drill bit (Φ8)
- Tape Measure (3m-5m)
- Silicone Sealant
- Pencil
- Screwdriver
Vanity Basin Installation
Step 1: Wall Preparation
Check the wall for pipes and wires before drilling. Drill through the back plinth into the wall at the desired location, ensuring the unit is level. A diagram shows a wall with studs, a spirit level, and a drill indicating the drilling point into the unit's plinth.
Step 2: Securing the Unit
Secure the unit to the wall using a suitable wall fixing for your wall type (fixings not supplied). For solid walls, use appropriate plugs and screws. A diagram illustrates the unit being fixed to the wall.
Step 3: Applying Silicone and Placing Basin
Apply a bead of silicone between the basin and the unit. Place the basin/top onto the unit, ensuring all parts are level. Also, apply silicone at any join between the basin and walls. Diagrams show the application of silicone sealant and the placement of the basin.
Step 4: Final Silicone Seal and Drying
It is recommended to apply silicone around the base of the unit to prevent water from passing between the unit and the floor. Leave all silicone to dry for at least 24 hours before use. A diagram shows silicone application around the base, with a ⏳ [24 hours] indicator.
Mirror Installation
Before Installation: Check the product for damage prior to installation. Before any drilling, please check for pipes and wires within the wall which could be damaged.
Step 1: Mark Bracket Positions
Fitted to the rear of the unit are two fixing brackets. Measure the distance between these brackets and mark this distance on the wall, ensuring it is horizontally aligned using a spirit level. A recommended height for the brackets is 70 inches (1778mm) from the floor, but this is customer choice. It is recommended to install to a solid wall; if fitting to a stud wall, fixings must be secured into a stud, not just plasterboard. A diagram shows bracket placement, screw positions, a spirit level, and wall studs, indicating a 70-inch height.
Step 2: Drill Holes
After marking the bracket positions, drill holes in the wall using an 8mm drill bit (not supplied) to a depth of approximately 40mm. A diagram shows a drill with an 8mm bit and a 40mm depth indicator, drilling into a stud.
Step 3: Insert Wall Plugs
Insert the wall plugs and tap them flush with the wall surface. A diagram shows wall plugs being inserted into the drilled holes.
Step 4: Secure Brackets and Hang Unit
Hold the bracket up to the wall over the drilled holes and secure using the screws provided. Ensure the brackets on the rear of the unit are fully tightened. Lift the product onto the wall-mounted brackets to engage both sections. Diagrams show brackets being screwed to the wall and the unit being hung.
Step 5: Apply Silicone Seal (Optional)
Once installed, a bead of silicone can be applied around the edges of the unit if required. A diagram shows silicone being applied around the unit's edge.
Cabinet Installation
Step 1: Mark Bracket Positions
Fitted to the rear of the unit are two fixing brackets. Measure the distance between these brackets and mark this distance on the wall, ensuring it is horizontally aligned using a spirit level. A recommended height for the brackets is 27.5 inches (698mm) from the floor, but this is customer choice. It is recommended to install to a solid wall; if fitting to a stud wall, fixings must be secured into a stud, not just plasterboard. It is also recommended to set up the unit before installing the basin, so any adjustment can be made via the fixings on the unit. A diagram shows bracket placement, screw positions, a spirit level, and wall studs, indicating a 27.5-inch height.
Step 2: Drill Holes
After marking the bracket positions, drill holes in the wall using an 8mm drill bit (not supplied) to a depth of approximately 40mm. A diagram shows a drill with an 8mm bit and a 40mm depth indicator, drilling into a stud.
Step 3: Insert Wall Plugs and Secure Brackets
Insert the wall plugs and tap them flush with the wall surface. Secure the wall brackets into place. Diagrams show wall plugs and brackets being attached to the wall.
Step 4: Hang Unit on Brackets
Check the brackets fitted to the unit are fully tightened. Lift the unit onto the wall-fitted brackets. Diagrams show the unit being hung on the wall brackets.
Step 5: Adjust Unit Position
If any adjustment forward or backward, or up or down, is required, this is possible via the fitted adjusters on the inside of the unit. Diagrams illustrate adjusters with labels indicating "Screw Above: Higher or Lower Adjustable" and "Screw Below: Longer or Shorter Adjustable".
Step 6: Fit Basin and Seal Edges
After any adjustment of the unit has been made, the basin can be fitted to the unit by applying a bead of silicone between the unit and basin to provide a seal and fixing. Also, run a bead of silicone along the back edge of the base where it meets the wall. Diagrams show silicone being applied to the unit and the basin being placed, with silicone also applied to the back edge against the wall.
Door Handle Installation
The doors are provided with pilot holes for fitting either round or shell type handles. Drill holes to allow fitting of the handle screw through the door and into the handle. Place the screw through the unit from inside the door, connect it to the handle, and tighten. Diagrams show drilling pilot holes and attaching handles from the inside.
Framed Furniture Assembly
Place the frame onto the unit and screw the frame to the unit through the holes in the frame, ensuring it is aligned with the unit edge. Ensure this is fully secured before use. Diagrams show the frame components and the frame being attached to the unit.
WC Unit Installation
Step 1: Wall Mounting Preparation
Drill into the wall through the rear plinth of the WC unit. Fit the wall plug. Place the screw through the washers and secure it to the wall. Fit the brass screw cap to the brass washer. Diagrams illustrate the drilling process, wall plug, screw, washers, and cap.
Step 2: Measure and Mark
Measure the height from the floor to height 'a', then measure height 'b' and allow a 5mm tolerance. Measure width 'c' and allow a 5mm tolerance. Mark these dimensions on the front panel of the unit using a pencil. Diagrams show a WC unit with dimensions 'a', 'b', and 'c' indicated.
Step 3: Cut Opening for Pipes
Remove the front panel from the unit and cut the hole to allow the waste pipe and flush pipe to pass from the cistern. Diagrams show arrows indicating panel removal and cutting a hole.
Step 4: Seal Edges
It is recommended to seal the cut edge and bottom edge of the unit to protect against moisture ingress. A diagram shows sealing the edges.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Wipe the product clean and dry regularly, especially when the product is subject to steam or splashes. Do not use harsh chemicals or materials on the product, as this will damage the product and invalidate your guarantee.
To clean and maintain the product, wipe using a clean damp cloth and wipe dry with a soft cloth.
