Sentiotec support FAQ
Common questions about manuals, registration, and support for this brand.
-
Why does my Sentiotec sauna heater smell when I turn it on for the first time?
It is normal for both the heater and the sauna stones to emit a smell or even light smoke during the first use as protective agents burn off. We recommend heating the sauna efficiently and ventilating the room thoroughly for about an hour during this initial break-in period.
-
What kind of stones should I use with my Sentiotec heater?
Use only angular split-face sauna stones intended for heater use, roughly 10–15 cm in diameter. Recommended types include peridotite, olivine-dolerite, and olivine. Do not use soft soapstones or ceramic stones (unless specifically approved) as they may damage the heating elements.
-
How often should I restack the sauna stones?
Due to large temperature variations, stones disintegrate over time. You should rearrange the stones at least once a year, or more frequently if the sauna is used often. Remove any disintegrated pieces from the bottom to ensure proper air circulation and prevent overheating.
-
Who provides warranty service for Sentiotec products?
As Sentiotec is part of the Harvia Group, support and warranty services are often handled by Harvia Austria GmbH. For domestic use, heaters and control units typically carry a two-year warranty against manufacturing defects.
