Common questions about manuals, registration, and support for this brand.
Most PGST smart security systems utilize the 'Smart Life' or 'Tuya Smart' applications, available for download on iOS and Android devices.
Ensure your phone is connected to a 2.4GHz WiFi network (5GHz is not supported). Open the Smart Life app, select 'Add Device', and follow the on-screen instructions, often requiring you to put the alarm host into pairing mode via its settings menu.
While many PGST alarm hosts work over WiFi, inserting a standard 2G/4G SIM card is recommended for call/SMS backup in case of internet failure. Note that 5G SIM cards are typically not supported.
It is recommended to test PGST smoke alarms once a month by pressing the test button to ensure the sensor and battery are functioning correctly.
False alarms can be caused by low batteries, installation near heat sources (vents, radiators), or direct sunlight. Ensure the sensor is installed at the recommended height and away from fluctuating air currents.
