BLACKSPIDER support FAQ

Common questions about manuals, registration, and support for this brand.

  • Why is the protection LED on my BLACKSPIDER amplifier sticking on?

The protection LED (often red) indicates a fault such as a short circuit in the speaker wiring, overheating, or an impedance load that is too low. Disconnect speaker leads and reset the amplifier to troubleshoot.

  • What is the correct wiring for high-level inputs on the active subwoofer?

If your receiver lacks RCA outputs, connect the speaker outputs to the high-level input connector observing correct polarity. Do not connect both RCA and high-level inputs simultaneously.

  • What size fuse should I use for the power connection?

Use a fuse with the same value as the original fuse on the device. Place the fuse in the power supply lead as close as possible (within 45cm) to the car battery.

  • Does the amplifier turn on automatically?

Yes, if the REM (remote) terminal is connected to the radio's power antenna control wire or switched 12V source. Some active subwoofers also feature an 'Auto Power On' switch for high-level inputs.
