Setup and Installation

1. Wiring Connections

Carefully connect the power harness, speaker wires, and other input/output cables to the corresponding ports on the rear of the head unit. Ensure all connections are secure.

  • Power: Connect the main power harness to your vehicle's electrical system (ACC, B+, Ground).
  • Speakers: Connect the speaker wires to your vehicle's speakers. The unit supports 85W x 4 Max Speaker Output.
  • GPS Antenna: Connect the GPS antenna and position it in a location with a clear view of the sky for optimal signal reception.
  • External Microphone: Plug in the external microphone for improved call quality and voice commands.
  • USB Ports: Utilize the two rear USB ports for media playback or connecting compatible devices.
  • Rear View Camera: Connect the rear view camera to the dedicated input. Ensure the reverse trigger wire is connected to activate the camera automatically when reversing.
  • Steering Wheel Control: Connect the steering wheel control wires to your vehicle's steering wheel control interface (if applicable) for integrated control.

2. Mounting the Unit

Secure the head unit into your vehicle's dashboard using the provided mounting brackets and screws. Ensure it is firmly in place and does not obstruct any vehicle controls.

3. Initial Power-On

After all connections are made, turn on your vehicle's ignition. The unit should power on automatically. Follow any on-screen prompts for initial setup, such as language selection and time zone.

Operating Instructions

1. User Interface Navigation

The BSNAV9 operates on Android Version 14.0. Navigate the interface using the 9-inch touchscreen. Swipe left/right to access different app screens, and tap icons to launch applications.

2. Wireless Apple CarPlay

To connect your iPhone wirelessly to Apple CarPlay:

  1. Ensure Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled on your iPhone.
  2. On the BSNAV9, open the CarPlay application.
  3. Search for the BSNAV9's Bluetooth name on your iPhone and pair them.
  4. Confirm the pairing on both devices. CarPlay should launch automatically.

3. Wireless Android Auto

To connect your Android phone wirelessly to Android Auto:

  1. Ensure Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled on your Android phone.
  2. On the BSNAV9, open the Android Auto application.
  3. Search for the BSNAV9's Bluetooth name on your Android phone and pair them.
  4. Confirm the pairing on both devices. Android Auto should launch automatically.

4. GPS Navigation

The unit includes built-in GPS navigation. Access the navigation application from the main menu. Ensure the GPS antenna is properly installed for accurate positioning.

5. Media Playback

  • Video: The unit supports 1080p video playback. Use the pre-installed video player or download a preferred player from the app store.
  • Audio: Play audio files from USB, Bluetooth, or streaming apps. Adjust sound settings using the built-in equalizer with presets like User, Flat, Rock, Pop, Live, Dance, Classic, Soft, Jazz.

6. App Installation

As an Android-based system, you can download and install various applications from the pre-installed app store or by sideloading APK files via USB.

7. Rear View Camera

When the vehicle is shifted into reverse, the display will automatically switch to the rear view camera feed. The camera features a PAL System, CVBS Signal, 105° Viewing Angle, and IP68 Water Resistance.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning the Screen

Use a soft, lint-free cloth to gently wipe the screen. For stubborn smudges, slightly dampen the cloth with water or a screen-cleaning solution. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.

2. Software Updates
