For over 30 years, Aircast has set the standard for ankle sprain management with products like the Air-Stirrup and a comprehensive line of pneumatic walking boots. Their product portfolio spans from ankle braces and cold therapy systems to advanced walking boots such as the AirSelect and SP Walker series. These devices are widely prescribed by orthopedic professionals to treat stable fractures, severe sprains, ligament injuries, and post-operative conditions. By combining rigid support with comfortable, adjustable liners, Aircast helps patients maintain mobility while ensuring the necessary protection for effective recovery.

Aircast support FAQ
Common questions about manuals, registration, and support for this brand.
-
How do I clean the foam liner of my Aircast walker?
The foam liner in most Aircast walking boots can be hand-washed in cold water with a mild detergent. After washing, allow it to air-dry completely. Do not put the liner in a dryer or use any direct heat source to dry it.
-
How do I inflate the air cells in my Aircast walking boot?
Locate the inflation valves (usually near the ankle or on the shell). Insert the provided hand bulb tip into the valve and squeeze to inflate until the fit is snug but comfortable. Always start inflating the valve on the side of the injury first. To deflate, insert the opposite tip of the bulb or press the valve release button.
-
Is the Aircast Walker meant for outdoor use?
The standard Aircast walker boot can be used outdoors, but it is recommended to wear a hygiene cover or clean the sole before returning indoors to prevent tracking dirt. Specific hygiene covers are sold separately for indoor use to protect floors.
-
Can I shower while wearing my Aircast boot?
It is generally not recommended to get the boot wet. If your doctor allows you to remove the boot for showering, you may do so. If you must keep it on, use a waterproof cast protector to keep the device dry.
-
What conditions is the Aircast AirSelect Elite used for?
The AirSelect Elite is typically indicated for stable fractures of the foot, ankle, and lower leg, severe ankle sprains, and post-operative immobilization. It provides pneumatic support and protection to aid healing.
