The machine offers 4 temperature settings and 7 water volume levels, indicated by illuminated bars on the control panel.

  1. Temperature Selection: Press the temperature button to cycle through the four settings (indicated by different colored lights). Choose the desired temperature for your beverage. For iced coffee, select the room temperature setting and add ice to your cup after brewing.
  2. Water Volume Selection: Slide your finger up or down the illuminated bars on the control panel, or tap the desired level, to select the water volume. More bars indicate more water and a milder coffee.

  2. After selecting your desired temperature and water volume, press the brew button (often indicated by a coffee cup icon) to start extraction.
  3. The machine will automatically stop when the selected water volume is dispensed.

3.4 Making Specialty Drinks (Lattes, Cappuccinos, Milk Froth)

For lattes and cappuccinos, you can use Dolce Gusto milk capsules or add frothed milk separately.

  1. Using Dolce Gusto Milk Capsules: Insert a Dolce Gusto milk capsule into its adapter. Select the desired temperature and water volume for the milk. Brew the milk first into your cup.
  2. Then, replace the milk capsule with an espresso capsule (e.g., Nespresso Original) in its respective adapter. Brew the espresso into the same cup.
  3. Important: Do not use the cold brew setting for instant milk or tea capsules, as this can damage the machine.

3.5 Important Reminders for Optimal Brewing

  • Always use the corresponding pod adapter for each capsule type (K-cup, Nespresso Original, Dolce Gusto, ESE 44mm, or ground coffee).
  • For ground coffee brewing, use approximately 15g of fine salt-like espresso powder. Too coarse a grind may result in weak coffee with no crema, while too fine a grind can clog the filter and cause leaks or jamming.
  • Achieving optimal results with ground coffee requires practice to find the right grind thickness, amount, uniformity, and tamping strength.
  • For best espresso results (30-50ml), pre-warm your cup.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Daily Cleaning

  1. Drip Tray: Empty and rinse the drip tray after each use or when the indicator is full.
  2. Water Tank: Empty any remaining water and rinse the tank daily. Refill with fresh water before each use.
  3. Capsule Adapters/Filters: Remove and rinse the used adapter/filter immediately after brewing to prevent coffee residue buildup.
  4. Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the machine with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or immerse the machine in water.

4.2 Descaling

Over time, mineral deposits (limescale) can build up in your coffee maker, affecting performance and taste. Descale your machine regularly, depending on your water hardness and usage frequency (e.g., every 2-3 months).

  1. Consult the manufacturer's website or a universal descaling solution's instructions for specific descaling procedures.
  2. Typically, this involves filling the water tank with a descaling solution (or vinegar and water mixture) and running several brew cycles without coffee.
  3. After descaling, run several cycles with fresh water to rinse out any descaling solution residue.

5. Troubleshooting
