1. Product Overview

The Veise VE012W-K is a WiFi-enabled fingerprint smart lock designed for residential use. It offers multiple access methods and remote management capabilities through a dedicated mobile application.

2. Door Compatibility and Preparation

Before installation, ensure your door meets the following specifications:

• Door Thickness: 1-3/8" to 2" (35mm to 50mm)
• Hole Diameter (Deadbolt): 1-1/2" or 2-1/8" (38mm or 54mm)
• Hole Diameter (Knob): 2-1/8" (54mm)

The lock is compatible with both left-handed and right-handed doors. It is designed for single cylinder deadbolts and chiseled door preparations. It is not compatible with mortise or integrated lock systems.

3. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps for proper installation of your Veise VE012W-K smart lock. A screwdriver is the only tool required.

3.1 Physical Installation

1. Install the Latch and Strike: Insert the latch into the door edge and secure it. Install the strike plate on the door frame, ensuring proper alignment with the latch.
2. Install the Exterior Assembly: Position the exterior keypad assembly on the door, ensuring the spindle passes through the latch mechanism.
3. Install the Interior Assembly: Attach the interior mounting plate, then connect the cable from the exterior assembly to the interior assembly. Secure the interior assembly to the mounting plate. Ensure the torque blade is horizontal before attaching the interior unit.
4. Install Batteries: Open the battery cover on the interior assembly and insert 8 AA alkaline batteries. Do not install batteries until the lock is fully installed.
5. Install Knobs: Attach the interior and exterior knobs.

4.1 Unlocking Methods

5. Maintenance

5.1 Battery Replacement

The Veise VE012W-K smart lock is powered by 8 AA/LR6 Alkaline batteries. The app provides low battery notifications, and the keypad will also display a light alert when batteries are low.

1. When a low battery alert is received or indicated, replace all 8 AA batteries promptly.
2. To replace, remove the battery cover on the interior assembly, carefully remove old batteries, and insert new ones according to polarity markings.

3. Continue holding until you hear a long beep and the latch bolt automatically extends.
