The BOYA Magic-03 is a versatile 4-in-1 wireless microphone system designed for high-quality audio capture across various devices and scenarios. This manual provides essential information for setting up, operating, and maintaining your device to ensure optimal performance.

Setup and Initial Use

1. Unpacking and Power On

Before first use, please remove any protective film from the transmitters. The transmitters power on automatically when taken out of the charging case.

2. Connecting to Your Device

Plug the appropriate receiver (USB-C or 3.5mm TRS) into your smartphone, camera, camcorder, tablet, or computer. The transmitters and receiver come pre-paired from the factory. When successfully connected, the indicator lights on both the transmitters and receiver will display a solid blue light.

3. Pairing Troubleshooting

If pairing fails, ensure both transmitters and receiver are powered on. Hold the power button on the receiver for 5 seconds until the blue light flashes. Do the same on the transmitters. When they connect, both lights will stay solid blue.

4. Using Windshields

In noisy outdoor environments, use the provided fur windshields on the transmitters and the charging case (when used as a handheld mic) to minimize wind noise and improve audio clarity.

2. AI Noise Reduction

3. Professional Audio Protection (Limiter & Safety Track)

The built-in limiter protects against audio peaks and distortion in live recordings. The safety track records a backup audio file at -12dB to prevent clipping, ensuring high-quality sound comparable to studio recordings (48kHz/24-bit).

4. Long Battery Life & Wireless Range

Each transmitter offers up to 6 hours of battery life, extended to 30 hours with the charging case. The 2.4GHz wireless technology provides a stable connection up to 100 meters (328 feet) line-of-sight. The receiver's USB-C port can also charge your phone while recording.

Compatibility

No additional apps are required for basic plug-and-play functionality. For Android devices, ensure OTG mode is enabled before connecting the mic.

Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your BOYA Magic-03 Wireless Lavalier Microphone, follow these maintenance guidelines:

• Cleaning: Regularly wipe the charging contacts on the transmitters and charging pins in the case with a clean, dry cloth to ensure proper connection.
• Storage: Store the device in the provided storage bag when not in use to protect it from dust and physical damage.
• Temperature: Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures (above 50°C or below 0°C).
• Moisture: Keep the device dry and away from moisture to prevent damage.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter problems using the unit, please refer to the following checklist. If the problem cannot be solved, contact customer service.

Transmitters cannot pair with the receiver:

• Turn off the transmitter(s) and the receiver. Press and hold their power buttons for 5 seconds until their status indicators blink blue quickly to pair again.

Charging case cannot pair with the receiver:

• When using the charging case as a handheld or desktop microphone, ensure the microphone is placed in the first slot. If the microphone is already in the first slot but cannot connect to the receiver, remove it and re-pair following the steps above.

Operating range is limited, sound changes, or noise appears:

• Make sure there is no interference from high-power wireless routers or devices in your recording environment. If the recording environment can't be changed, you need to find the optimal distance and angle for recording.
• Due to 2.4GHz wireless frequency, signal can be easily attenuated. Please try to avoid obstacles, such as walls and buildings, and avoid close proximity to devices with 2.4 GHz signal, such as high-power Wi-Fi antennas, radios, etc.
• Make sure the receiver is well connected to your device properly.

Transmitter(s) or the receiver doesn't power on:

• If the battery is completely depleted because the transmitter(s) or the receiver has not been used for a long time, charge it.

Charging case can't charge the transmitter(s):

• If the remaining charge of the charging case is too low, please recharge the case and try again.
• Wipe the charging contacts on the transmitter(s), and charging pins in the case with a clean cloth. Make sure there is no dirt covering them.
• If the charging contacts and pins are not firmly connected due to insufficient magnetic force, please contact customer service.

BOYA products are covered by a generous 2-year warranty. To claim warranty service, you will need your warranty card and the invoice of purchase. The warranty covers defects in material or workmanship during the warranty period under normal use. Damage caused by improper usage, unauthorized modification, or natural disasters is not covered.
