6. Maintenance
- Regular Inspection: Periodically check all wiring connections for signs of wear, fraying, or loose contacts.
- Cleaning: Keep the VTX free from dust, dirt, and moisture. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning. Avoid using solvents or harsh chemicals.
- Antenna Care: Ensure the antenna is not bent or damaged. A damaged antenna can significantly reduce signal range and quality.
- Thermal Management: Ensure adequate airflow around the VTX, especially during high-power operation, to facilitate heat dissipation. Avoid covering the VTX with materials that impede cooling.
7. Troubleshooting
- No Video Signal:
- Check if the antenna is securely connected.
- Verify power supply to the VTX.
- Ensure the camera is properly connected to the VTX's video input.
- Confirm your FPV receiver is on the correct channel and frequency.
- Poor Video Quality/Short Range:
- Check for antenna damage or improper type.
- Increase the VTX output power if operating in a challenging environment.
- Ensure there are no obstructions between the VTX and receiver.
- Check for interference from other electronic components on the drone.
- VTX Overheating:
- Ensure the VTX has sufficient airflow.
- Reduce the output power if high power is not strictly necessary.
- Verify the input voltage is within the specified range (7-36V).
- OSD Control Not Working:
- Check the IRC Tramp wiring connection to the flight controller.
- Verify the flight controller firmware is configured correctly for VTX control.
