WARNING:
- Install the antenna before use.
- To prevent overheating, ensure constant airflow and a well-ventilated environment. Install a cooling fan if operating in confined conditions.
- The 5V Output is intended only for a Camera or Cooling Fan. Do not connect Power Input / Battery to the 5V Output port, as this will damage the VTX.
How to Use IRC Tramp
This section details the setup process for using the IRC Tramp protocol with your flight controller.
1. Connect IRC Tramp Port:
Connect the IRC Tramp port on the VTX to a free UART-TX port on your Flight Controller (FC). The connections typically include IRC signal, Video signal, 5V Out, and Ground.
Diagram Description: A schematic shows the VTX's IRC Tramp, VIDEO, 5V OUT, and GND ports connecting to the FC's UART-TX port.
2. Configure BetaFlight:
Open BetaFlight software. Navigate to the 'Ports' tab. For the UART-TX port connected to the VTX's IRC port, select 'VTX (IRC Tramp)' from the peripherals dropdown menu. Save the settings.
Screenshot Description: The BetaFlight 'Peripherals' tab is shown, with 'VTX (IRC Tramp)' selected for a UART-TX port. Other options include Disabled, Blackbox logging, VTX (TBS SmartAudio), Camera (RunCam Protocol), etc.
3. Configure OSD:
In BetaFlight, go to the 'Configuration' tab. Under 'Other Features', turn the 'OSD' option ON for 'On Screen Display'. Save the settings.
Other Features:
- AIRMODE: Permanently enable Airmode
- OSD: On Screen Display
- DYNAMIC_FILTER: Dynamic gyro notch filtering
4. Load Configuration File:
Navigate to the 'Video Transmitter' tab in BetaFlight. Load the configuration file (e.g., 'Table.json') from your computer and save the settings. This file can typically be downloaded from the GEPRC website.
Visual Description: A button labeled "Load from file" is shown, next to an icon representing a file named "Table.json".
5. Navigate OSD Menu:
Turn on your remote control. Follow the specified stick movements to enter the OSD menu: THR middle, YAW left, PITCH up. Use the PITCH stick to move the cursor up and down, and the ELE stick to move right to select the next item. Finally, save and exit the menu.
Diagram Description: Two modes (Mode-2 and Mode-1) are illustrated showing the stick movements for OSD navigation. Mode-2 typically involves THR middle, YAW left, PITCH up to enter, PITCH for up/down, ELE for right.
OSD Menu Structure:
The OSD menu provides access to various settings:
- MAIN: PROFILE, FEATURES, OSD, FC&FIRMWARE, MISC, SAVE/EXIT.
- FEATURES: BLACKBOX, VTX, LED STRIP, POWER, FAILSAFE, BACK.
- TRAMP: Displays current status like Band, Channel (FREQ), Power. Options include PIT, BAND, CHAN, (FREQ), POWER, T(C), SET, BACK.
- CONFIRM: Prompts for confirmation (YES/NO).
