DJI Digital FPV System Binding

  1. Power on the DJI FPV Goggles, Transmitter, and Quadcopter. Double-press the DJI FPV Goggles bind button; it will beep to indicate binding state.
  2. Press the VISTA bind button. The indicator light turns red (binding), then yellow (binding successful). The FPV Goggles will display the received picture.
  3. Press the C1 custom button, record button, and right scroll wheel button of the transmitter simultaneously. The indicator light turns blue, and the transmitter beeps, indicating binding.
  4. Press the VISTA bind button again. The indicator light turns red (binding), then yellow (binding successful). The transmitter indicator light turns green.

Bind FrSky R-XSR

  1. For Taranis X9D/X9D Plus/X9E and Taranis QX7: Turn on the transmitter, navigate to MENU - MODEL SETUP - PAGE 2, select Internal RF, and choose BIND.
  2. Turn on the receiver while holding its bind button. Release the button; the blue, red, and yellow LEDs will illuminate.
  3. A flashing red light indicates successful binding. Turn the receiver off and then on again. The blue and yellow lights being on indicate a normal link.

Bind TBS NanoRX

  1. For Taranis X9D/X9D Plus/X9E and Taranis QX7: Turn on the transmitter, go to TOOLS - CROSSFIRE SETUP - XF Micro TX, and select Bind.
  2. Turn on the receiver while holding its bind button. Release the button; the green light flashes. Hold the button for 8 seconds and release. The green light turns off, and the red light flashes. The transmitter screen will prompt 'update micro RX?'; select 'ENTER'.
  3. After the update completes, binding is successful, and the receiver's green light will be solid.

Bind GEPRC ELRS Receiver

GEPRC's ELRS 868 MHz, ELRS 915 MHz, and ELRS 2.4 G receivers share the same binding methods.

  1. Power the receiver off and on three times consecutively (with a 1-second interval). The receiver's blue light will flash twice continuously, indicating it has entered binding state.
  2. For Taranis X9D/X9D Plus/X9E and Taranis QX7: Turn on the transmitter, go to TOOLS - ELRS, and select BIND.
  3. Binding is successful when the receiver's blue light changes from continuous double flashes to a steady light. Power cycle the receiver; the blue light should remain on, indicating a normal link.

Install Betaflight

Install Betaflight Configurator

While the quadcopter is factory-ready, installing Betaflight Configurator is recommended for debugging. Download the appropriate installation package from GitHub. Select the correct file for your operating system (EXE for Windows, DMG for macOS, RPM/DEB for Linux, APK for Android).

Install Drivers

Windows users must install drivers manually. macOS and Linux do not require manual driver installation.

Transmitter Setup

ARM (DJI Transmitter)

  1. The toggle switches on the DJI FPV Transmitter are pre-configured at the factory:
    • SA → AUX1 (ARM)
    • SB → AUX2 (MODES)
    • SC → AUX3 (BEEPER)
    • SD → AUX4 (Vacancy)
  2. DJI toggle switches are three-position. Moving the yellow cursor within the set range for the corresponding AUX channel activates the function.

OpenTX Transmitter

  1. For OpenTX transmitters (Taranis X9D/X9D Plus/X9E, Taranis Q X7): Turn on the transmitter, go to MENU-MIXS to check current AUX channel settings.
  2. Typical AUX channel assignments:
    • CH5 (SF) → AUX1 (ARM)
    • CH6 (SG) → AUX2 (MODES)
    • CH7 (SA) → AUX3 (BEEPER)
    • CH8 (Vacancy) → AUX4 (Vacancy)
  3. The FrSky X9D transmitter's SF toggle switch is two-position. Moving the yellow cursor within the set range for the corresponding AUX channel activates the function.
  4. Use the transmitter wheel to select the AUX channel and press/hold the wheel to edit. You can name the aux channel and set desired toggle switches. Exit and save.

IRC Tramp (Analog VTX)

To enter the OSD menu: Turn on the transmitter, set THR to middle, YAW to left, and PITCH to up. Use PITCH to move the cursor up/down and ELE to enter the next item. Finally, save and exit.

Install Silicone Pad

A silicone pad is provided to help secure the battery.

Install Propellers

Propellers are pre-installed. Ensure they are correctly oriented before takeoff. The diagram shows the correct direction for clockwise (CW) and counter-clockwise (CCW) propellers.

Pre-flight Check

Performing a pre-flight check is crucial for safety and to prevent crashes. Follow these steps before each flight:

  1. Turn on the transmitter, select the correct model, ensure the arming switch is in the 'disarmed' position, and the throttle is at its lowest point.
  2. Visually inspect the quadcopter for any damage. Repair if necessary.
  3. Confirm propellers are correctly installed and the nuts are secure. Incorrect installation can lead to a crash.
  4. Check the LiPo battery voltage. A fully charged LiPo should be approximately 4.2V per cell (e.g., 12.6V for 3S, 16.8V for 4S).
  5. Ensure the battery is securely fastened to the aircraft with the strap and that the balance lead is tucked away to avoid propeller strikes.
  6. Scan the flight area for potential hazards like people or animals.
  7. Verify a clear and strong video feed in your FPV goggles or screen. Resolve any interference or display of another pilot's feed before flying.
  8. Arm the quadcopter and listen for any unusual sounds, such as props hitting antennas or wires.
  9. Once checks are complete, take off and enjoy your flight.

Note: Exercise caution when flying near water. Salvaging a drone that falls into water is difficult, and water damage is not covered by the warranty.
