3. Setup Instructions

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Starting a Recording Session

• Button-Press Start: If configured for manual start, press and hold the button on the device until the "REC" indicator appears on the LCD screen.
• Automatic Start: If configured via Elitechlog software for a predefined time or delay, the device will begin recording automatically according to your settings.

4.2 Monitoring Data on the LCD Display

Press the button briefly to cycle through the following information displayed on the LCD:

• Current temperature value
• Current humidity value
• Average temperature value
• Average humidity value
• Maximum temperature value
• Maximum humidity value
• Minimum temperature value
• Minimum humidity value
• Current date
• Number of recording points

To switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius, use the Elitechlog software settings.

4.3 Stopping a Recording Session

• Button-Press Stop: If configured for manual stop, press and hold the button until the "END" indicator appears on the LCD screen.
• Automatic Stop: The device will stop recording automatically if the memory is full or a predefined stop time is reached, as configured in the Elitechlog software.

4.4 Generating and Analyzing Reports

After a recording session is complete:

1. Connect the data logger to a computer via its USB port.
2. The device will automatically generate a PDF report containing a summary and graph of the recorded data.
3. For more detailed analysis and data export (e.g., to Excel or TXT formats), use the Elitechlog software.

5. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Clean the device exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or immerse the device in liquids (beyond its IP65 rating for temporary water exposure).
• Battery Replacement: The RC-51H uses one CR2 lithium metal battery. Replace the battery when the low battery indicator appears on the LCD. Ensure correct polarity during replacement.
• Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the data logger in a cool, dry environment, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

6. Troubleshooting

• Device not starting recording:
  • Check the battery level. Replace if low.
  • Ensure the start mode is correctly configured (button-press, timed, or delayed).
  • If using button-press start, press and hold the button firmly until the "REC" indicator appears on the LCD.
• No PDF report generated after connecting to PC:
  • Ensure the device is properly connected to a functional USB port.

• Inaccurate temperature or humidity readings:
  • Ensure the sensor is not obstructed or exposed to conditions outside its specified operating range.
