Setup and Installation

Follow these general steps to install your Waterdrop WD-PF-01A Plus replacement filter. Specific instructions may vary slightly depending on your Waterdrop pitcher or dispenser model. Refer to your pitcher's manual for detailed instructions if available.

  1. Prepare the Filter: Remove the new filter from its packaging. It is recommended to soak the filter in cold tap water for 10-15 minutes to remove any air bubbles and activate the filter media.
  2. Remove Old Filter: If replacing an old filter, remove it from the pitcher or dispenser according to your unit's instructions. Discard the old filter responsibly.
  3. Insert New Filter: Align the new Waterdrop WD-PF-01A Plus filter with the filter housing in your pitcher or dispenser. Press firmly to ensure a secure fit. Some models may require a slight twist to lock it into place.
  4. Flush the Filter: Fill the pitcher or dispenser with cold tap water. Allow the water to filter through completely. Discard the first two full pitchers of filtered water. This flushes out any carbon fines and prepares the filter for use.
  5. Reset Filter Indicator (if applicable): If your pitcher or dispenser has an electronic filter life indicator, reset it according to your unit's instructions.

Note: A small amount of carbon dust may appear in the first few liters of filtered water. This is normal and harmless. Continue flushing until the water runs clear.

Operating Instructions

Once the filter is installed and flushed, your Waterdrop pitcher or dispenser is ready for use.

  • Fill the reservoir with cold tap water.
  • Allow the water to pass through the filter into the lower chamber. The filter's fast flow rate ensures quick filtration.
  • Pour and enjoy your filtered water.
  • For best taste, store filtered water in the refrigerator.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your Waterdrop filtration system.

  • Filter Replacement: Replace your Waterdrop WD-PF-01A Plus filter every 2 months or after filtering 200 gallons of water, whichever comes first. Filter life may vary based on local water quality and usage.
  • Cleaning the Pitcher/Dispenser: Regularly clean your pitcher or dispenser with mild soap and warm water. Rinse thoroughly. Do not wash the filter with soap.
  • Storage: If you plan to store your pitcher or dispenser for an extended period, remove the filter, allow it to air dry, and store it in a cool, dry place. When resuming use, install a new filter and follow the setup instructions.
