Setup
Mounting the Device
BM05 Mount Installation
The BM05 mount is designed for easy installation and removal on various motorcycle handlebars. Follow these steps:
- Choose the appropriate silicone pads based on your motorcycle's handlebar diameter (12mm, 22mm, 25.4mm, or 28mm). Add pads to increase thickness if needed.
- Fix the metal bracket to the handlebar using a Phillips screwdriver.
- Secure the connecting rod to the metal bracket at the desired angle.
- Attach the BM05 bracket to the metal clamp and tighten the clamp screws.
- Insert the key into the slot, pushing it all the way in until it locks. Then, turn it left and push firmly.
- The slot will appear.
- Insert the CarPlay screen into the BM05 mount.
- Remove the key, ensuring the slot retracts and is pressed firmly. Installation is complete.
Power Connection Options
Option 1: Direct Battery Connection
Connect the power cable directly to the motorcycle battery. Ensure the output voltage and current are 12V and 1A. The red wire connects to the positive terminal, and the black wire connects to the negative terminal.
Option 2: USB Port Connection
Connect the USB cable directly to the motorcycle's USB port. Ensure the USB port provides 4.5V and 2.5A or higher. If the USB port outputs less than 4.5V, 2.5A, it is not recommended to use this method as insufficient power may cause the display to shut down. In such cases, use the direct battery connection.
The W702S includes built-in reverse connection protection for convenience; incorrect wiring will not damage the device.
Initial Device Pairing
Wireless Apple CarPlay Connection
To use wireless Apple CarPlay, ensure your iPhone is iPhone 6 or later, running iOS 13 or above, and Siri is enabled.
- Open Apple CarPlay on the CARPURIDE W702S display.
- On your iPhone, go to Wi-Fi settings, search for, and select the network named "66666666".
- Enter the password "66666666" and click "Join".
- The connection will be successfully established.
- The CarPlay interface will appear on the display.
Wireless Android Auto Connection
To use wireless Android Auto, ensure your Android phone is running Android 11 or later, supports 5GHz Wi-Fi, and compatible apps (Google Maps, Google, Google Voice Assistant) are updated.
- Open Android Auto on the CARPURIDE W702S display.
- On your Android phone, go to Wi-Fi settings, search for, and select the network named "carpuride-xxxx".
- Enter the password "66666666".
- Click "Yes" to confirm the connection.
- The connection will be successful.
- The Android Auto interface will appear on the display.
Operating Instructions
Bluetooth Audio Transmission
The CARPURIDE W702S offers two ways to transmit audio to your Bluetooth helmet or headphones:
Method 1: iPlay/Auto Mode (Smartphone to Headset)
- Connect your smartphone to the CARPURIDE W702S display via Bluetooth for CarPlay or Android Auto. Ensure the connection is successful.
- Select "Audio Output" and choose the "iPlay/Auto" mode on the display.
- Connect your smartphone directly to your Bluetooth headset or helmet to play audio.
- Ensure to disconnect and delete any previous Bluetooth connection records for the headset from the CARPURIDE W702S display.
Method 2: BT Trans Mode (Display to Headset)
- Go to "Audio Output" on the display and enter the "BT Trans" interface.
- Select "BT Trans", turn on your cycling helmet or headphones, and click "BT search" to find and pair them.
- Once "Connected" appears after clicking the "Disconnect" button, the connection is successful.
- When using BT Trans output, ensure your phone is not connected to the Bluetooth headset. If it is, disconnect it and delete the pairing records from your phone's Bluetooth list.
Wired Controller Functions
The wired controller allows for easy navigation and call management, enhancing safety while riding.
- Cycle Button: Short press to answer incoming calls. Long press (more than 5 seconds) to power on/off the device.
- Hang Up Button: Short press to hang up calls.
- Home Button:
- When connected to Apple CarPlay, a short press allows switching between the main screen and the CarPlay interface.
- Long press (more than 5 seconds) to lock the screen touch function. Long press again to unlock. In heavy rain, use this to prevent accidental touches from water droplets.
Light Sensor Design
The integrated light sensor automatically adjusts screen brightness based on ambient light conditions. This feature ensures clear visibility during both day and night, protects your eyes, and promotes safer riding.
TF Card Media Playback
The device supports TF (TransFlash) cards up to 64GB. You can insert a TF card into the designated slot to play your favorite music or videos directly on the display during your ride.
Custom Boot Logo
You can personalize your device by setting a custom boot logo or startup screen image. This allows you to display your motorcycle's logo or personal photos upon startup. Note: 64GB TF cards do not support software updates. For software updates, please use a TF card with a smaller capacity (32GB, 16GB, 8GB, or 4GB).

Power Supply Issues
If the display frequently turns off or experiences unstable operation when connected via USB, verify that your motorcycle's USB port provides sufficient power (at least 4.5V and 2.5A). Insufficient current or voltage can lead to power interruptions. In such cases, connecting the device directly to the motorcycle battery is recommended.
Software Updates
For software updates, use a TF card with a capacity of 32GB, 16GB, 8GB, or 4GB. Please note that 64GB TF cards do not support software updates; they are only for storing videos or images.
