Setup
1. Power Options and Initial Charge
The PRUNUS J-555 radio offers two power sources: an internal rechargeable lithium battery and external AAA batteries. Before first use, it is recommended to fully charge the built-in battery.
- USB-C Charging:
Connect the provided USB-C charging cable to the radio's USB-C port and plug the other end into a compatible USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port. The "CHGR" indicator light will illuminate during charging and turn off when fully charged.

- AAA Battery Installation:
Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the radio. Insert two AAA batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the battery compartment cover securely.
Power Selector Switch: Inside the battery compartment, there is a switch to select the power source. Slide the switch to the "Lithium Battery" position to use the built-in rechargeable battery, or to the "Alkaline Battery" position to use the AAA batteries. If the rechargeable battery runs out while AAA batteries are installed and the switch is set to "Alkaline Battery", the radio will automatically switch to AAA power.

Operating Instructions
1. Power On/Off and Band Selection
Locate the "OFF/FM/AM" switch on the side of the radio. Slide it to "FM" for FM radio or "AM" for AM radio. To turn off the radio, slide the switch to "OFF".
2. Tuning to a Station
Extend the telescopic antenna for optimal reception, especially for FM stations. Use the rotary "Tuning Knob" on the side of the radio to scan for stations. The "TUNE" indicator light will illuminate green when a stable frequency is found, indicating good reception.

3. Volume Control
Adjust the volume using the rotary "Volume Knob" located on the side of the radio.
4. Headphone Use
For private listening, plug any standard 3.5mm headphones (not included) into the headphone jack on the top of the radio. The internal speaker will automatically mute when headphones are connected.

5. Flashlight Operation
The radio includes a built-in flashlight. Locate the "Flashlight Switch" on the side of the radio and slide it to turn the flashlight on or off.
