This manual provides essential information for operating your HYTOBP P17 PRO Drone. Please read it thoroughly before first use to ensure safe and optimal performance. The P17 PRO is a lightweight, foldable GPS drone equipped with a 4K camera, brushless motors, and intelligent flight features designed for adults seeking an advanced yet user-friendly flying experience.

Safety Guidelines

• Always operate the drone in open areas, away from people, animals, buildings, and trees.
• Do not fly in strong winds, rain, or other adverse weather conditions.
• Ensure the drone battery and remote control battery are fully charged before each flight.
• Maintain a safe distance from the drone during operation.
• Do not attempt to modify the drone or its components.
• Adhere to all local drone regulations and laws. This drone is designed to be under 249g, which may exempt it from certain FAA registration requirements in some regions. Always verify local regulations.
• Keep propellers clear of obstructions and body parts during operation.

Setup

1. Battery Installation & Power On

1. Drone Battery: Load the drone battery into the drone's designated compartment. Press and hold the drone's power switch until it powers on.
2. Remote Control Battery: Ensure the remote control has its batteries installed. Press the power switch on the remote control to turn it on.

2. Calibration

Calibration is crucial for stable flight. Follow these steps:

1. Geomagnetism Calibration: Short press the geomagnetism calibration button on the remote control. The remote will emit a "di" sound.
2. Horizontal Rotation: Hold the drone horizontally and turn it clockwise three times until the remote control makes a "di" sound.
3. Vertical Rotation: Hold the drone vertically and turn it clockwise three times until the remote control makes a "di" sound.
4. Gyroscope Calibration: Short press the gyroscope calibration button on the remote control. The remote will emit a "di" sound.

3. GPS Signal Acquisition

For stable outdoor flight and intelligent features, the drone requires sufficient GPS signals. The remote control's display will show the number of acquired GPS satellites. The drone can fly when the number of GPS search reaches 8 or more.

Operating the Drone

1. Takeoff

1. Unlock Propellers: Push the right joystick to the lower right corner, and push the left joystick to the lower left corner at the same time. The drone's propeller blades will start to rotate.
2. Manual Takeoff: After unlocking, gently push up the left throttle joystick. The drone will take off.

2. Basic Flight Controls

Familiarize yourself with the remote control joysticks for basic flight maneuvers:

• Left Joystick (Throttle/Yaw):
  • Up/Down: Increase/Decrease altitude.
  • Left/Right: Rotate drone left/right (yaw).
• Right Joystick (Pitch/Roll):
  • Up/Down: Fly forward/backward (pitch).
  • Left/Right: Fly left/right (roll).

3. Intelligent Flight Features

The P17 PRO Drone offers several intelligent flight modes:

• Follow Me: The drone will automatically follow the remote controller or the connected smart device.
• Waypoint Flight: Plan a flight path by tapping points on the map in the app, and the drone will fly along the designated route.
• Point of Interest: Select a central point, and the drone will circle around it at a set radius.
• Smart Return Home: The drone will automatically return to its takeoff point when the battery is low, signal is lost, or the auto-return button is pressed.
• 360° Obstacle Avoidance: The drone can sense obstacles up to 10 meters ahead, enhancing flight safety.

4. Landing

To land the drone:

• Manual Landing: Gently pull down the left throttle joystick until the drone lands.
• Auto-Return Landing: Press the auto-return button on the remote control, and the drone will return to its takeoff point and land automatically.

5. Camera Operation & FPV

The drone is equipped with a 4K camera and 5G Wi-Fi real-time transmission for FPV (First Person View) and high-quality photo/video capture.

• Connect to App: Download the dedicated drone app on your smartphone. Connect your phone to the drone's Wi-Fi network.
• Real-time View: Once connected, you will see a real-time video feed from the drone's camera on your smartphone screen.
• Photo/Video Capture: Use the dedicated buttons on the remote control or within the app to take photos (JPEG) or record videos (4K, 1080P).
• Adjustable Lens: The camera features a 90° adjustable lens for varied shooting angles.

Maintenance

• Battery Care:
  • Charge batteries using the provided USB charging cable.
  • Do not overcharge or completely drain batteries.
  • Store batteries in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
• Propeller Replacement: If propellers are damaged, replace them using the spare blades and screwdriver provided. Ensure correct propeller orientation (A and B types).
• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the drone and remote control. Avoid using harsh chemicals or solvents.
• Storage: When not in use, store the drone and its components in the provided storage bag to protect them from dust and damage.
