Setup and Installation
The LUTEC LED Security Light is designed for easy hardwired installation. A junction box (4"x4") is not included and is required for proper installation.
Mounting Options
- Eave Mounted: Install the light under an eave or soffit. Ensure the motion sensor faces outwards for optimal detection.
- Wall Mounted: Install the light directly on a wall.

Installation Steps
- Turn Off Power: Before beginning installation, ensure the power to the circuit is turned off at the circuit breaker.
- Attach Mounting Bracket: Secure the mounting bracket to your existing junction box using the provided screws.
- Wire Connections: Connect the light's wires (Live, Neutral, Earth) to your household wiring using the provided wire nuts. Ensure connections are secure and insulated.
- Mount the Fixture: Align the light fixture with the mounting bracket and secure it in place.
- Seal and Adjust: Use the waterproof gasket and rubber plugs to seal the installation against moisture. Adjust the four light heads to cover your desired illumination area.

Operating Modes
The LUTEC security light offers four versatile lighting modes, controlled via settings on the motion sensor unit:
- Motion Sensor Mode: The light activates at 100% brightness when motion is detected at night and turns off after motion ceases.
- Dusk to Dawn Mode: The light automatically turns on at 20% brightness at dusk and turns off at dawn. If motion is detected at night, it will temporarily switch to 100% brightness.
- Manual Override Mode: The light stays on at 100% brightness for 6 hours, regardless of day or night.
- Test Mode: Allows you to test the sensor's functionality. The light will automatically turn on for 5 seconds when motion is detected.

The motion sensor unit has adjustable settings for sensitivity (distance) and duration (time) the light stays on after motion is detected.

Troubleshooting

- Ensure power is supplied to the fixture. Check circuit breaker. Verify wiring connections are secure. Confirm the light sensor is not obstructed or in a mode that prevents activation (e.g., if in Dusk to Dawn mode during daytime).
- Motion sensor not detecting movement:
- Adjust the sensor's sensitivity (Distance setting) to 'H' (High). Ensure the sensor is not obstructed. Verify the installation height is appropriate for the detection range. Test the sensor in 'Test Mode'.
- Light stays on continuously:
- Check if the light is in 'Manual Override Mode'. Ensure the sensor is not continuously detecting motion (e.g., from moving branches or traffic). Adjust the sensor's time setting to a shorter duration.
- Light flickers or dims:
- Ensure stable power supply. Check for loose wiring connections. If the light is in Dusk to Dawn mode, it operates at 20% brightness until motion is detected.
