Follow these steps for proper assembly of your GarveeLife Carport. It is recommended to have at least two people for assembly.

4.1. Prepare the Area

  • Choose a flat, level surface for installation.
  • Clear the area of any debris, sharp objects, or obstructions.

The GarveeLife Carport is designed for versatile use. Here are some operational guidelines:

  • Vehicle Protection: Park your car, truck, or boat under the canopy to shield it from sun, rain, snow, and dust.
  • Storage: Utilize the covered space for storing outdoor equipment, tools, or other items that require protection from the elements.
  • Event Shelter: The carport can serve as a temporary shelter for parties, gatherings, or other outdoor events.
  • Adjustable Height: Adjust the leg poles to your preferred height (9.5 ft to 11 ft) based on your specific needs or vehicle clearance.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Clean the canopy regularly with mild soap and water. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive brushes that could damage the PE fabric.
  • Inspection: Periodically check all frame connections, bungee cords, and anchoring points for tightness and wear. Tighten any loose connections.
  • Weather Conditions: In anticipation of severe weather (heavy snow, extreme winds), it is advisable to temporarily disassemble or reinforce the carport to prevent damage.
  • Storage: If disassembling for long-term storage, clean all components, ensure they are dry, and store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Canopy Sagging/Water Pooling: Ensure the canopy is stretched tightly and evenly secured with all bungee cords. Adjust tension as needed.
  • Instability in Wind: Verify that all anchoring pegs are fully inserted into the ground and that wind ropes are properly secured. Consider adding sandbags or weights to the leg poles in extremely windy conditions.
  • Loose Frame Connections: Check all frame joints and connectors. If any are loose, re-secure them. Ensure all pins/screws are in place.
