1. Important Safety Instructions

Read all instructions before using the appliance. Follow basic safety precautions to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury.

• Ensure the power outlet matches the voltage specified on the appliance.
• Do not immerse the power cord, plug, or appliance in water or other liquids.
• Unplug from the outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
• Keep the appliance away from heat sources and direct sunlight.
• Do not operate with a damaged cord or plug.
• This appliance is for household use only.
• Keep ventilation openings clear of obstructions.
• Use only potable water for ice production.

2. Product Overview

The DORTALA Countertop Ice Maker is designed for efficient and convenient ice production in your home, office, or for parties. It features a self-cleaning function and an intuitive LCD control panel.

3. Setup and Installation

Unpacking:

1. Remove all packaging materials.
2. Inspect the ice maker for any damage. If damaged, do not operate and contact customer support.
3. Clean the interior and exterior of the ice maker before first use (refer to Maintenance section).

Placement:

• Place the ice maker on a flat, stable surface.
• Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit. Maintain at least 6 inches of space from walls or other appliances.
• Avoid placing the unit in direct sunlight or near heat sources.
• Ensure the power cord is easily accessible and not pinched.

Water Supply:

The DORTALA ice maker offers two methods for water supply:

1. Manual Refilling: Open the dust-proof lid on the top inlet and pour potable water directly into the 3.2L water tank.
2. Bottled Water: Place a 2-5L bottled water jug onto the supporting seat on top of the unit for automated filling.

4. Operating Instructions

Control Panel Overview:

• ON/OFF Button: Powers the unit on or off.
• Timer/Clean Button: Initiates self-cleaning (press for >5 seconds) or sets a 24-hour timer.
• +/- Buttons: Adjust ice making time (thickness) or timer settings.
• LCD Display: Shows ice making countdown, ambient temperature, ice making state, self-clean symbol, ice full warning, water shortage warning, and error codes.

First Use:

1. Plug the ice maker into a grounded electrical outlet.
2. Fill the water tank with potable water.
3. Press the ON/OFF button to start the ice making process.
4. Allow the unit to run for a few cycles and discard the first few batches of ice to ensure cleanliness.

Adjusting Ice Thickness:

You can customize the thickness of the ice cubes by adjusting the ice making time. Press the "+" or "-" buttons to increase or decrease the ice making duration. Each adjustment changes the time by 1 minute, with a maximum adjustment of 6 minutes.

Ice Production Cycle:

The ice maker produces 24 square ice cubes per cycle, with each cycle taking approximately 15-20 minutes. The daily yield is up to 40 LBS (18 KG).

When the ice storage basket is full, the machine will automatically stop ice production. It will resume once ice is removed.

The LCD display will indicate "Ice Full" or "Water Shortage" warnings when applicable.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning

Automatic Self-Cleaning Function:

The DORTALA ice maker features an automatic self-cleaning function for hassle-free maintenance.

1. Ensure the water tank is filled.
2. Press and hold the "Timer" button for more than 5 seconds to initiate the 20-minute self-cleaning cycle.
3. After the cycle, drain the water through the drainage hole at the bottom of the unit.

Manual Cleaning:

• Unplug the appliance before cleaning.
• Clean the interior with a soft cloth and a mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly.
• Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Regularly clean the ice scoop and ice basket.
• Ensure the drainage hole is clear of debris.

Storage:

If storing the ice maker for an extended period, ensure it is completely dry and clean. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
