Adaptive EQ automatically tunes music to the shape of your ear, providing a rich, consistent listening experience by adjusting frequencies in real-time.

4.5 "Hey Siri" Support

Activate Siri by saying "Hey Siri" to control music, make calls, get directions, and more, hands-free.

5. Charging

5.1 Charging the AirPods

Place your AirPods into the MagSafe Charging Case. They will begin charging automatically. A single charge provides up to 6 hours of listening time.

5.2 Charging the MagSafe Charging Case

The MagSafe Charging Case can be charged using the included Lightning to USB-C cable or wirelessly with a MagSafe charger or Qi-certified charging mat. The case provides multiple additional charges for your AirPods, totaling up to 30 hours of listening time.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Cleaning Your AirPods and Case

  • Wipe AirPods and the charging case with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth.
  • Do not use abrasive materials, aerosols, or cleaning sprays.
  • Use a dry cotton swab to clean the microphone and speaker meshes.
  • Avoid getting moisture in any openings.

6.2 Water and Sweat Resistance

AirPods (3rd generation) and the MagSafe Charging Case are sweat and water resistant for non-water sports and exercise. They are not waterproof. Sweat and water resistance are not permanent conditions and resistance might decrease as a result of normal wear. Do not attempt to charge wet AirPods; refer to Apple's support documentation for cleaning and drying instructions if they get wet.

7. Troubleshooting

7.2 Sound Quality Issues

  • Check the fit of the AirPods in your ears. A secure fit is crucial for optimal sound.
