2. Safety Information
WARNING: Electrical installation should only be performed by qualified personnel. Ensure power is disconnected at the circuit breaker before installation to prevent electric shock.

4. System Requirements
To utilize the smart features of the Aqara Smart Wall Switch Z1 Pro, a compatible Zigbee 3.0 Aqara hub is required. Compatible hubs include, but are not limited to, Aqara Hub M1S, Aqara Hub M2, and Aqara Camera Hub G2H Pro.

5. Setup
5.1 Electrical Installation
- Disconnect Power: Turn off the main power supply at the circuit breaker before beginning any electrical work.
- Remove Old Switch: Carefully remove your existing wall switch from the wall box.
- Identify Wires: Identify the Live (L), Neutral (N), and Load (L1, L2, L3, L4) wires. The Z1 Pro requires a neutral wire for operation.
- Wire the Z1 Pro: Connect the wires to the corresponding terminals on the back of the Aqara Z1 Pro switch as shown in Figure 3. Ensure all connections are secure. The 4-gang version is a 3-way relay, and the 4th gang is a wireless switch.

- Mount the Switch: Gently push the wired switch into the wall box and secure it with the provided screws. Attach the faceplate.
- Restore Power: Turn the main power supply back on at the circuit breaker.
5.2 Pairing with Aqara Hub
- Ensure your Aqara Hub is powered on and connected to the Aqara Home app.
- Open the Aqara Home app, navigate to the 'Devices' tab, and tap '+' to add a new device.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to select the Z1 Pro Smart Wall Switch.
- Press and hold the main button on the Z1 Pro switch for approximately 5 seconds until the indicator light flashes, indicating it is in pairing mode.
- The app will detect the switch. Complete the pairing process as prompted.
6. Operating
6.1 Basic Control
The Z1 Pro supports various press actions for versatile control:

- Press: Single press to toggle lights on/off or activate a scene.
- Double Press: Double press to activate a specific scene, such as "Leave Home" or "All Switches On".
- Press and Hold: Long press to enable specific functions or adjust settings.
6.2 Wireless Slider Control
The Z1 Pro features a wireless slider on the left side, allowing for intuitive adjustments:

- Adjust Brightness: Slide your finger up or down the slider to adjust the brightness of connected smart lights.
- Set Scenes: Configure custom actions in the Aqara Home app to trigger scenes based on slider position or gestures.
6.3 Voice Control
Integrate the Z1 Pro with popular voice assistants for hands-free control:
- Alexa: Link your Aqara account to Amazon Alexa.
- Apple Siri: Use HomeKit integration for Siri control.
- Google Assistant: Connect your Aqara account to Google Home.
6.4 Multi-way Control
The Z1 Pro supports multi-way control, allowing you to control the same lights from multiple switches. This is ideal for rooms with multiple entrances or exits. Configuration is done within the Aqara Home app.
6.5 Power Consumption Reporting
Monitor your energy usage through the Aqara Home app. The Z1 Pro provides power consumption reports, helping you track and manage electricity usage for connected devices.
7. Maintenance
- Clean the switch surface with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Ensure the switch remains free from dust and debris to maintain optimal performance.
- Regularly check for firmware updates via the Aqara Home app to ensure the device has the latest features and security enhancements.
8. Troubleshooting
- Switch not responding:
- Check if the circuit breaker is on.
- Verify wiring connections are secure.
- Ensure the Aqara Hub is online and within range.
- Try re-pairing the switch with the hub. - Cannot pair with hub:
- Ensure the hub is in pairing mode.
- Move the switch closer to the hub.
- Reset the switch (refer to Aqara support for specific reset procedures if needed). - Lights flicker or do not turn on/off correctly:
- Verify the load capacity of the switch is not exceeded.
- Check for loose wiring connections.
- Ensure the connected lights are compatible with smart switches. - Voice control not working:
- Confirm the Aqara account is correctly linked to the voice assistant.
- Check internet connectivity for both the hub and the voice assistant device.
