5. Maintenance
5.1. Cleaning
To clean your keyboard:
- Disconnect the keyboard from all power sources and devices.
- Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or a mild cleaning solution to wipe the keycaps and frame.
- For deeper cleaning, use the keycap puller to remove keycaps and clean underneath with compressed air or a small brush.
- Ensure the keyboard is completely dry before reconnecting.
5.2. Storage
Store the keyboard in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If storing for an extended period, ensure the battery is partially charged (around 50%) to prolong its lifespan.
6. Troubleshooting
- Keyboard not responding:
- Ensure the keyboard is charged. Check the connection mode switch (wired, 2.4G, Bluetooth) and ensure it matches your connection method. For wireless, verify the receiver is properly plugged in or Bluetooth is paired.
- Keys not registering or double-typing:
- This could be due to low battery or interference in wireless mode. Try switching to wired mode. If using hot-swappable switches, ensure they are fully seated. Clean any debris under the keycaps.
- RGB backlighting not working:
- Check the keyboard's brightness settings. Ensure the keyboard is sufficiently charged. If using QMK/VIA, verify the lighting settings in the software.
- Difficulty pairing Bluetooth:
- Ensure the keyboard is in Bluetooth pairing mode. Remove the keyboard from your device's saved Bluetooth devices list and attempt to pair again. Try restarting both the keyboard and your device.
