NuPhy AIR96 V2 Quick Guide
This guide provides instructions for setting up and using the NuPhy AIR96 V2 mechanical keyboard.
Getting Started
01. System Selection
Choose your operating system:
- Win mode: For Windows operating systems.
- Mac mode: For macOS operating systems.
02. Connection Mode Selection
Select your preferred connection method:
- Wired mode: Connect the device using a data cable.
- Wireless mode: For wireless connectivity.
Power Off: Turn off the keyboard.
03. Wireless Device Connection (Bluetooth Pairing)
Pair your devices via Bluetooth:
- Press
FN + 1/2/3
to switch between Bluetooth devices or long-press for 3 seconds to enter pairing mode. - For 2.4Ghz wireless connection, press
FN + 4
and then plug the included 2.4G receiver into your computer.
Status Indicator Guide
Understand the keyboard's status:
- Leftside RGB: Indicates left-side RGB lighting status.
- Rightside RGB: Indicates right-side RGB lighting status.
- Caps Lock: Indicates Caps Lock activation.
- Wired mode: Shows connection status in wired mode.
- Mac mode: Shows connection status in Mac mode.
- Bluetooth mode: Shows connection status in Bluetooth mode.
- 2.4G mode: Shows connection status in 2.4G mode.
- Power/Battery Level:
- 1%~10%: Red
- 11%~95%: Yellow
- 96%~100%: Green
- Sleep mode On: Indicates sleep mode is active.
- Sleep mode Off: Indicates sleep mode is inactive.
04. Backlight Settings
Customize your keyboard's backlight:
FN + <
: Switch backlight effects.FN + >
: Switch backlight colors.FN + /
: Adjust backlight brightness (increase/decrease).FN +
: Adjust backlight speed (decrease/increase).
05. Sidelight Settings
Customize your keyboard's sidelights:
FN + M + ^
: Adjust sidelight brightness (increase/decrease).FN + M + <
: Switch sidelight effects.FN + M + >
: Switch sidelight colors.FN + M +
: Adjust sidelight speed (decrease/increase).
Note: If there is no operation on the keyboard for 6 minutes, it will turn off the lights and enter sleep mode to conserve battery. It is recommended to keep sleep mode ON to extend battery life.
06. Sleep Mode Setting
Control the keyboard's sleep mode:
FN + 1
: Turn sleep mode ON or OFF.
07. Screenshot Shortcuts
Take screenshots easily:
- Windows:
FN + Print Screen
for full-screen screenshot. - macOS:
FN + Shift + 3
for full-screen screenshot,FN + Shift + 4
for partial screenshot.
08. Other Key Combos
Useful keyboard shortcuts:
FN + ~
: Enable/disable permanent battery level display.
09. Factory Reset
Restore the keyboard to its factory settings:
- Press and hold
FN + Backspace
for 3 seconds to reset.
10. VIA Keymap Configurator
Customize your key mappings with VIA software.
- VIA is open-source software developed independently from NuPhy.
- Download the latest VIA version from nuphy.com/pages/console.
- If your keyboard is not detected by VIA in wired mode, contact NuPhy technical support.
Keymap Layers:
- Mac Mode: LAYER 0/1
- Win Mode: LAYER 2/3
