5.1 Required Tools

5.2 Door Compatibility

If you have an existing deadbolt lock, please install the OLUMAT Smart Lock above it to avoid installation issues.

5.5 Step-by-Step Installation (Summary from Video)

  1. Adjust Latch Bolt: Adjust the bolt length to 2.36" (60mm) or 2.76" (70mm) to center the spindle hole in the door bore hole.
  2. Install Latch Bolt: Slide the latch bolt into the door and secure it with the provided screws.
  3. Position Front Panel: Slide the front panel assembly onto the door, ensuring the lock spindle and wire connector pass through the appropriate holes.
  4. Install Mounting Plate: Thread the wire connector through the mounting plate and secure the plate to the door with screws.
  5. Connect Wires: Connect the wire from the front panel to the back panel's wire connector port. Ensure the cable line is positioned under the studs to prevent pinching.
  6. Install Back Panel: Carefully align and attach the back panel assembly to the mounting plate.
  7. Secure Panels: Secure the top and bottom of the back panel with the appropriate screws.
  8. Install Batteries: Unscrew the battery box cover, insert 4 AA batteries, and secure the cover.
  9. Attach Handles: Loosen the handle screws on both the front and back panels. Slip the outside handle onto the knob in the correct direction for your door. Install the back panel handle and secure the screws.

After installation, the lock should be locked from the outside by default. Test all unlocking methods to ensure proper functionality.
