Getting Started with the Olumat Smart Lock
This guide provides instructions for setting up and using your Olumat Smart Lock. Ensure you have downloaded the Olumat Home app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
How to Register
- Open the Olumat Home app and tap 'Register'.
- Fill in the required information and tap 'Get Code'.
- Enter the verification code sent to your account and tap 'Register'.
Note: The homeowner should perform this step if the lock was professionally installed.
Pairing Your Lock
- In the Olumat Home app, tap the three horizontal lines (menu).
- Tap '+ Add Lock'.
- Tap 'Next' after reviewing the instructions.
- Tap the blue plus sign to add the lock. You may need to tap the lock keypad first.
Note: The Olumat Home app is required for lock functionality. Ensure you are within Bluetooth range of the lock during setup, unless a Wi-Fi Gateway is connected.
Lock Page Overview
- Unlock/Lock: Use your phone's Bluetooth to unlock or lock the door.
- eKeys: Set up and send electronic keys to others.
- Passcodes: Create and manage up to 6 different types of passcodes.
- Cards/Fobs: Set up and manage IC cards and fobs.
- Fingerprints: Register and manage fingerprints for access.
- Remote: Manage your Wireless Key Fob.
- Authorized Admin: Create and manage administrator accounts.
- Records: View entry logs, including times and methods.
- Settings: View and modify lock settings.
App Unlock/Lock
Tap the app icon once to unlock, and press and hold to lock.
Managing Access: Passcodes, Fingerprints, and eKeys
Passcodes
Access the passcode menu by tapping 'Generate Passcode'. You can create various passcode types:
- One-time: For a single use.
- Custom: Create your own digits (e.g., 654321).
- Permanent: Lasts indefinitely.
- Timed: Lasts between selected hours.
- Recurring: Lasts during scheduled weekly hours.
- Erase: Removes all existing passcodes.
When generating a code, enter a name for it. Use 'Code + #' format for input. You can edit, delete, and view records for each passcode.
Note: Passcode generation requires Bluetooth range unless a Wi-Fi Gateway is connected.
IC Card/Fobs
To add a fob:
- Tap 'Cards' in the app.
- Tap 'Add Card'.
- Select the validity period.
- When prompted, swipe the fob on the keypad. A confirmation sound indicates successful registration.
Best Practice: Use 'Code + #' when inputting passcodes.
Fingerprints
- Tap 'Fingerprints' in the app.
- Tap 'Add Fingerprint'.
- Select the desired validity period for the fingerprint.
- Follow the on-screen instructions, placing your finger on the sensor multiple times as directed.
Troubleshooting Fingerprint Recognition:
- Ensure the sensor is clean.
- Try a different finger.
- Ensure your finger is sufficiently moist.
- Remove and reinsert batteries for one minute.
eKeys
eKeys allow sharing app access to your lock with other Olumat Home accounts. Recipients can use their phones to unlock/lock the door.
- Enter the recipient's username (phone number or email used for registration).
Note: Sending or revoking eKeys does not require Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. However, initial setup may require Bluetooth range.
Best Practice: Recommend recipients register for an Olumat Home account first.
Authorized Admin
Authorized Admins have more privileges than eKey recipients:
- Unlock/lock via the app.
- Generate, edit, and delete passcodes, cards, and fingerprints.
- Adjust settings like passage mode and auto-lock timer.
To add an Authorized Admin, enter their username (phone number or email).
Lock Settings and Features
Passage Mode & Auto-Lock
Auto-lock engages by default 5 seconds after the lock is opened. You can adjust this behavior:
- Passage Mode: Disables auto-lock during a set schedule.
- Auto-lock Timer: Adjust the delay before auto-locking.
Lock Settings
- Basics: View and change lock information, such as the lock name.
- Remote Unlock: Enable remote unlock/lock functionality when a Wi-Fi Gateway is connected.
- Lock Sound: Adjust the volume of the lock's sound alerts.
- Import from another lock: Transfer passcodes and fobs from one lock to another.
- Delete: Remove the lock from your account and clear its settings. Requires proximity to the lock.

Integrations
Olumat locks are compatible with:
- Google Assistant
- Amazon Alexa
Wi-Fi Gateway
The Wi-Fi Gateway connects your Olumat locks to your home Wi-Fi network, enabling remote control and features such as:
- Remote unlock/lock.
- Unlock notifications.
- Access log checks.
- Remote management of codes and settings.
- Access to the web portal version of the app.
- Remote battery level checks.
Scan the provided QR code for instructions on pairing the gateway to the app.

Installation Steps
- Adjust Latch: Ensure the latch is set to the correct backset (60mm or 70mm). If the holes are not centered, adjust the latch accordingly.
- Determine Latch Direction: Orient the latch correctly based on the door's handing (left or right).
- Install Latch: Secure the latch into the door edge.
- Install Front Panel and Mounting Plate: Feed the cable through the opening and attach the interior mounting plate. Ensure the cable connector is oriented correctly.
- Connect Wires and Install Back Panel: Connect the cable and secure the back panel.
- Install Batteries: Insert 4 AA batteries and attach the battery cover.
- Install Door Handles: Attach the exterior and interior door handles.
- Test Installation: Insert the physical key and test the lock's operation.
