2. Safety Information
Your safety is paramount. Please adhere to the following safety guidelines:
- Anti-Tipping Strap: Always secure the cabinet to the wall using the provided anti-tipping strap. This prevents accidental tipping, which can cause serious injury.
- Weight Capacity: Do not exceed the maximum weight capacity of 88 lbs (overall) and 11 lbs (per shelf). Overloading can compromise stability and lead to damage or injury.
- Assembly: Ensure all parts are correctly assembled and fasteners are tightened securely before use. Do not use power tools for assembly unless explicitly instructed, as overtightening can damage components.
- Placement: Place the cabinet on a level, stable surface. Avoid placing it in high-traffic areas where it could be easily bumped.
- Proposition 65 Warning: This product may expose you to chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer or birth defects or other reproductive harm. For more information, go to www.P65Warnings.ca.gov.

- Assembly instructions booklet
If any parts are missing or damaged, please contact HOMCOM customer service for assistance.
4. Setup and Assembly
Assembly of the HOMCOM Kitchen Pantry Cabinet is required. Follow the provided assembly instructions booklet carefully. Here are some general tips for a smooth assembly process:
- Preparation: Unpack all components and lay them out on a clean, soft surface to prevent scratches. Inventory all panels and hardware parts, ensuring nothing is missing. Organize hardware by type (e.g., letter-stamped pouches).
- Tools: Use a good quality screwdriver for better control. Avoid using power drills, as they can easily overtighten and damage the engineered wood components.
- Dowel Pins: When inserting metal dowel pins, ensure they are screwed in straight and not at an angle. This is crucial for proper connection with cam locks.
- Follow Order: Adhere strictly to the sequence of steps outlined in the instruction manual. Skipping steps or assembling parts out of order can lead to complications.
- Door Alignment: The cabinet features adjustable hinges to ensure proper door alignment. After initial assembly, you may need to fine-tune the hinges to eliminate any gaps between the doors. Refer to the hinge adjustment diagram below.
- Anti-Tipping: Once assembled and in its final position, securely attach the anti-tipping strap to the wall as instructed.

5. Operating Instructions
The HOMCOM Kitchen Pantry Cabinet is designed for versatile storage. Here’s how to maximize its utility:
- Storage Capacity: The cabinet offers five tiers of shelving behind four doors, providing ample space for dishes, pots, pans, dry goods, plastic containers, and other kitchen or household items. The doors keep contents dust-free and out of sight.
- Adjustable Shelves: Three of the five shelves are adjustable. To reposition a shelf, carefully remove it from its current supports, adjust the shelf pins to the desired height, and then reinsert the shelf. This flexibility allows you to customize storage for taller items like pitchers, pasta containers, or blenders. The adjustment increment is approximately 1.25 inches.
- Door Operation: Open and close the doors gently using the black handles. Ensure doors are fully closed to protect contents.

Figure 5: Close-up view highlighting the adjustable shelves, indicating how they can be repositioned to accommodate items of different heights, with a 1.25-inch adjustment increment.
6. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and appearance of your cabinet, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Wipe surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, or excessive moisture, as these can damage the engineered wood finish.
- Spills: Clean up spills immediately to prevent staining or moisture damage.
- Hardware: Periodically check all screws and fasteners to ensure they remain tight. Retighten if necessary, but do not overtighten.
- Sunlight: Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, which can cause fading or discoloration of the finish.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your cabinet, consider the following common solutions:
- Doors Not Aligning: If there are gaps between doors or they do not close properly, adjust the hinges. Refer to Figure 3 in the Setup and Assembly section for detailed hinge adjustment instructions (up/down, front/back, left/right).
- Wobbly Cabinet: Ensure the cabinet is placed on a level surface. Check that all assembly fasteners are securely tightened. If the issue persists, verify that the anti-tipping strap is properly installed and taut.
- Damaged Parts During Assembly: If any particle board or other components are damaged during assembly, stop and contact HOMCOM customer service for replacement parts. Do not attempt to force damaged parts together.
- Missing Hardware: If any hardware is missing, contact HOMCOM customer service for a replacement kit.
