2. Setup Guide
2.1 Unboxing and Component Identification
Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure all items listed in the user manual are present. The package typically includes the Q5 Pro Robot Vacuum, Auto-Empty Dock, Water Tank, Mop Cloth, Power Cable, and User Manual.
2.2 Charging Station Placement
Place the Auto-Empty Dock on a hard, level surface against a wall. Ensure there is adequate clear space around the dock for the robot to maneuver (at least 0.5 meters on either side and 1.5 meters in front). Connect the power cable to the dock and plug it into a power outlet.
2.3 Initial Charging
Place the robot onto the charging dock. Ensure the charging contacts on the robot align with those on the dock. The robot will begin charging automatically. For first-time use, fully charge the robot before operation.
2.4 App Download and Wi-Fi Setup
Download the "Roborock" app from your mobile app store. The robot vacuum only supports 2.4G Wi-Fi. If your router supports both 2.4G and 5G, it is recommended to switch to 2.4G Wi-Fi during the setup process by following your router's instructions. To connect the robot to the app, press and hold the designated buttons on the robot until you hear the "Resetting Wi-Fi" alert. The reset is complete when the Wi-Fi indicator flashes slowly. Open the app, tap "Search for device," and follow the in-app instructions to add your device.
