5. Troubleshooting
5.1 No Images Captured
- Check Batteries: Ensure batteries are fresh and installed with correct polarity.
- Check SD Card: Verify the SD card is inserted correctly, not full, and not locked. Try formatting the card.
- Camera Mode: Confirm the camera is in an active capture mode (e.g., Photo, Video, Timelapse).
- Sensor Obstruction: Ensure nothing is blocking the motion sensor.
5.2 Poor Image/Video Quality
- Clean Lens: Clean the camera lens and IR LED covers.
- Lighting Conditions: Adjust camera placement to avoid direct sunlight or deep shadows.
- Distance: Ensure subjects are within the optimal detection and illumination range.
5.3 CuddeLink Connectivity Issues
- Antenna: Ensure the antenna is securely attached and unobstructed.
- Range: Verify that Remote cameras are within range of the Home unit. Obstacles like dense foliage or terrain can reduce range.
- Network Setup: Re-check the CuddeLink network configuration for both Home and Remote units.
- Interference: Minimize potential interference from other wireless devices.
5.4 Short Battery Life
- Battery Type: Use high-quality D-cell batteries.
- Settings: Frequent captures, long video clips, and high IR intensity can drain batteries faster. Adjust settings as needed.
- Temperature: Cold weather can significantly reduce battery performance.
