Firmware Update

Firmware updates improve your camera with enhanced performance and new features. Visit our website once or twice a year to check for firmware updates. Updating your Cuddeback camera firmware is a 2 step process: 1) download firmware from the Cuddeback website, and 2) loading the firmware onto your camera.

Download firmware update

  1. Visit our website Cuddeback.com/update
  2. You will need a computer with an SD card port. Insert an SD card into the card reader. The process is simpler if the SD card is blank or recently erased/formatted.
  3. Select the appropriate camera model. If you have both camera models, download both firmware files and save them to the same SD card.
  4. Click the BLUE Download Firmware Box for the camera(s) you have.

  5. Windows will display a "Save As" box. Navigate to the SD card and make sure to stay in the root (highest level) folder. Do not put the firmware in a folder.
  6. Do not change the file name. Click SAVE and the firmware will be downloaded to the SD card.
  7. If you are using a mix of G/J/K & L cameras, download both files to the same SD card (click the other blue box).
  8. Once you have downloaded the firmware file, you can remove the SD card from the computer.
