- Set the desired temperature using the temperature control dial according to the fabric type. Refer to the fabric guide on the dial.
- Allow the iron to heat up. The indicator light will turn off when the set temperature is reached.

Cordless Operation:
- Place the iron onto the charging base and plug the base into the mains socket.
- Set the desired temperature. The iron will heat up quickly on the base.
- Once the indicator light turns off, slide the cord release/lock switch on the base to the 'Unlock' position and lift the iron from the base.

Maintenance and Care
Cleaning the Soleplate:
To maintain the smooth glide of the ceramic soleplate:
- Ensure the iron is unplugged and completely cool.
- Wipe the soleplate with a soft, damp cloth. For stubborn marks, a mild, non-abrasive cleaner designed for iron soleplates can be used.
- Never use abrasive scourers or chemical cleaners as these can damage the soleplate.

Anti-Calc Function:
The iron is equipped with an anti-calc function to reduce limescale build-up and prolong its lifespan. While this feature helps, regular maintenance is still recommended, especially in hard water areas.
Draining and Storage:
- After each use, unplug the iron and allow it to cool completely.
- Empty any remaining water from the tank by opening the water filling inlet and tilting the iron over a sink.
- Store the iron upright on its charging base in a dry, safe place.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter any issues with your iron, please refer to the table below before contacting customer support:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Iron not heating up. | Not plugged in; power outlet fault; temperature dial set too low; iron not properly seated on base (cordless mode). | Check plug and socket; ensure temperature dial is set correctly; ensure iron is firmly on the charging base. |
| No steam or insufficient steam. | Water tank empty; temperature too low for steam; steam control dial set to 'Dry'; calc build-up. | Fill water tank; increase temperature; set steam control dial to steam setting; perform anti-calc cleaning. |
| Water leaking from soleplate. | Temperature too low for steam; water tank overfilled; iron tilted too much. | Allow iron to reach full temperature before using steam; do not overfill water tank; keep iron level during use. |
| Iron sticks to fabric. | Soleplate dirty; temperature too high for fabric type. | Clean the soleplate; adjust temperature according to fabric care label. |
