4. Installation Instructions

The end caps are designed for easy, tool-free installation using integrated magnets.

  1. Identify the Stereo Sides: Locate the side panels of your compatible IRV Technology RV car stereo where the end caps are to be attached.
  2. Orient the End Cap: Take one end cap and observe its shape. It is designed to fit snugly against the side of the stereo. The side with the magnets should face the stereo unit.
  3. Attach the First End Cap: Align the end cap with one side of the stereo. The magnets will naturally pull the end cap into place, securing it without the need for screws or adhesives.
  4. Attach the Second End Cap: Repeat the process for the other side of the stereo with the second end cap.
  5. Verify Secure Attachment: Gently tug on each end cap to ensure it is firmly held in place by the magnets.

5. Operation (Removal)

To remove the end caps, simply grasp the edge of the cap and gently pull it away from the stereo. The magnetic attachment allows for convenient removal by hand without requiring any tools.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the end caps with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust or smudges. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the plastic finish.
  • Inspection: Periodically check the end caps for any signs of damage or wear. Ensure the magnets remain securely embedded within the plastic.
  • Storage: If removed for an extended period, store the end caps in a clean, dry place to prevent damage.

7. Troubleshooting

  • End Cap Does Not Attach Securely:
    • Ensure the end cap is correctly oriented with the magnets facing the stereo.
    • Verify that your stereo is one of the compatible IRV Technology models (IRV36, IRV62, IRV63).
    • Check for any obstructions between the end cap and the stereo that might prevent magnetic contact.
    • Inspect the magnets on the end cap for damage or dislodgement.
  • End Cap Appears Loose:
    • Re-seat the end cap, ensuring it snaps firmly into place.
    • Confirm that the stereo's side panels are clean and free of debris.
