Safety Guidelines and Warnings

The design and manufacture of this player takes personal safety into consideration. However, any improper operation may result in electric shock, fire, or other hazard.
DO NOT open the cabinet by yourself to prevent electric shock. Please contact a professional technician to perform any service needed. Please use only components recommended by factory when replacement is necessary.
Please turn unit off when not in use. Use a dry, soft cloth to clean face with the system turned off.
PRECAUTION: Moisture may cause the lens on loader in this unit to malfunction. To remedy the problem, turn unit on, eject disc and run 1-2 hours to vaporize moisture inside the unit. Do not repeatedly turn unit off and on. After turning unit off wait 10 seconds before turning on again. Do not use broken, scratched, or twisted discs in player. This could result in damage to the unit. Use only 5", 12cm discs in this unit.
iRV 70 Features
Disc Player: Compatible with standard size CD, MP3, MP4, DVD, and BD discs (4.75" or 12cm). Reads standard BD, DVD, MP3, MP4, CD, CD-R, CD-RW, JPEG-CD. Plays Region 1 DVDs (USA and Canada).
5V CHARGE: This port is for 5V charging only and cannot accept a flash drive for music playback. It can charge devices like iPod.
Built-In AM/FM Tuner: Offers 18 preset FM stations and 12 preset AM stations.
High Definition Input/Output: Features 2 High Definition inputs and 1 High Definition output with ARC (Audio Return Channel) function.
BT Link: Enables secure, wireless connections between portable and fixed devices. Allows handheld control of streaming music from wireless devices.
Multi-Zone Audio/Video: Provides high power audio and video outputs to three zones. Zone 1 supports 5.1 surround sound, Zone 2 supports standard stereo audio, and Zone 3 offers independent control.
Inputs: Includes 1 AV in, 1 aAV out, 1 Aux in, and 1 Digital/Optical input for connecting external sources such as Satellite Radio, VCRs, Digital Cameras, Video Games, and MP3 Players. Sources can be connected directly to the unit or via accessory wall plates.
Digital Optical Input: Enables digital audio transmission from A/V components with digital optical output.
App Control: The unit can be controlled via a dedicated app, supporting iPhone 6S+ and Android 4.3+.
Consumer Electronics Control (CEC): Provides control of multiple high-definition equipment with a single remote, depending on TV connectivity.
Near Field Communication (NFC): Facilitates quick Bluetooth pairing.
Clock: Displays the current time. This function operates in all modes and can be used to change the clock display or turn off the display and button illumination.
Front Panel Controls
Description of the front panel layout:
- 1. IR: Infrared remote sensor.
- 2. MUTE: Mutes audio output.
- 3. SPEAKER ZONE 1, 2, 3: Turns sound on or off for the corresponding zones.
- 4. Display Screen: Shows information about the current mode, track, etc.
- 5. Z3 CONTROLS: Accesses Zone 3 operation menu. Use +/- buttons to adjust Zone 3 volume. Long press to change bass/treble/balance/EQ mode. Pressing the "Z3" button makes Zone 3 independent, indicated by a blue status light changing to red.
- 6. MODE: Selects the input source (e.g., Radio, BD, BT, AV IN, AUX IN, HDMI).
- 7. AM/FM: Selects AM or FM radio bands.
- 8. CLOCK: Displays the time. Press to change display, long press to turn off display/illumination.
- 9. BT/: Quick press enables Bluetooth connectivity. Long press adjusts LCD and button backlight brightness.
- 10. Playback Controls: Includes Fast Forward ([►►]), Fast Rewind ([◄◄]), Play/Pause ([►II]), and Stop ([■]) buttons.
- 11. Number Buttons (1-6): Used for selecting preset stations, tracks, or chapters.
- 12. Z3 CONTROLS (+/-): Adjusts Zone 3 volume.
- 13. AUX IN: 3.5mm analog audio input.
- 14. CHARGE: Indicates 5V charging port.
- 15. Z3 CONTROLS (N): Likely a button related to Zone 3 functionality.
- 16. VOLUME Knob: Adjusts master volume, bass, treble, balance, and EQ settings.
- 17. IR (Infrared Sensor): Receives signals from the remote control.
Display Screen Indicators:
- A. Disc: Indicates disc status.
- B. Z3 Playing status: Shows Zone 3 playback status.
- C. Play mode: Displays current playback mode (e.g., Repeat, Random).
- D. Play/pause: Indicates playback state.
- E. Zone speaker: Shows active zones.
- F. EQ setting: Displays current Equalizer setting.
- G. Frequency: Shows radio frequency.
- H. Stereo indicator: Indicates stereo reception.
- I. BT indicator: Shows Bluetooth connection status.
Radio Operation
Power: Turns the unit on/off and mutes the audio. A long press of the POWER button turns the unit on/off; a quick press mutes the device.
Radio Reception Mode: Press the AM/FM button to access the radio and select the desired band (AM1, AM2, FM1, FM2, FM3).
Manual Tuning: Select the band, then use the single arrowed buttons ([◄] or [►]) to move channels up or down.
Auto Search Tuning: Press the AM/FM button to initiate an auto search for available stations at higher or lower frequencies. The unit will remain on the selected station until another function is chosen.
Manual Frequency Presets: Select the desired band and frequency. Hold a numeral button (1-6) for 3 seconds to preset the frequency. Repeat to change.
Recall Frequency Presets: Select the band (AM1, AM2, FM1, FM2, FM3), then select the desired numeral button (1-6) to recall a preset station.
Automatic Store / Preset Scan:
- Automatic Scan & Store: While listening to the radio, long press the [Play/Pause] button ([►II]). The receiver will automatically scan and save listening stations.
- Scan Saved Stations: Short press the [Play/Pause] button ([►II]) to scan through saved stations.
Auto Best Station Memory: In FM1, pressing the [NEXT] button scans from low to high frequencies. Pressing the [PREVIOUS] button scans from high to low frequencies. Each strong station found is stored in a preset button until all 18 FM presets are full. This function is also available for the AM band, which has 12 presets.
Disc and Bluetooth Operation
Clock Setting:
- Press and hold the CLOCK button for 3 seconds. The hour will flash.
- Use the SELECT KNOB to set the correct hour.
- Press the SELECT button to move to minutes.
- Use the SELECT KNOB to set the correct minutes.
- Press the CLOCK button to memorize the time.
BD/DVD/CD/MP3/MP4 Operation:
- Fast Reverse / Fast Forward: Select speeds (2X, 4X, 8X, 20X). Push the [Play] button to return to normal speed.
- Previous / Next: Select the previous or next track/chapter. Pushing the [Previous] button restarts the current track or goes to the previous one. Pushing the [Next] button advances to the next track.
BT Link:
- Turn on the iRV70 power and enable Bluetooth on your cell phone.
- Search for "iRV 70 BT" and connect.
- Connection is successful when "BT Link" appears on the iRV70 screen.
- To enter setup, press the "BT" button.
- Enter a numeric PassKey if prompted (e.g., 0000).
App Operation
For iPhone or iPad:
- Click on the 'App Store'.
- Click 'Search' at the bottom of the screen.
- In the search bar, type 'iRV'.
- If using an iPad, ensure you select the 'iPhone apps' option.
For Android Devices:
- Click on 'Google Play'.
- In the search bar, type 'iRV'.

Remote Control Guide
The remote control provides access to all functions of the iRV 70.
- 1. POWER: Turns the unit on and off.
- 2. EJECT: Ejects the disc from the slot. Press again to retract the disc.
- 3. 0-9 NUMBERS: Selects one of the 9 stored stations (1-6) in Radio Mode. In Disc Mode, selects tracks directly (0-10+). For example, to select track 25, press '2' then '5'.
- 4. MENU (BD Only): Opens the disc menu.
- 5. TITLE (BD Only): Opens the POP UP/TITLE menu.
- 6. MEDIA CENTER (BD Only): Accesses the Media Center.
- 7. HOME (BD Only): Opens SYSTEM SETUP. For Blu-ray discs, press "STOP" first, then "HOME", then "SYSTEM SETUP" to access this function.
- 8. NAVIGATION BUTTONS: Use Up/Down/Left/Right keys to navigate menus.
- 9. ENTER: Confirms selections.
- 10. SRC: Selects the audio/video source (Radio, BD, BT, AV IN, AUX IN, DOT-DCC IN, R-HDMI IN, F-HDMI IN, HDMI ARC).
- 11. RETURN (BD Only): Returns to the previous menu.
- 12. PLAY/PAUSE: Suspends or resumes playback of CD, MP3, MP4, DVD, and BD media.
- 13. PREVIOUS / NEXT: In Radio Mode, selects higher or lower stations. In Disc Mode, selects the previous or next track or chapter. Pushing [Previous] restarts the current track or goes to the previous one. Pushing [Next] advances to the next track.
- 14. STOP: Suspends playback for BD, DVD, VCD, CD. "STOP" is displayed on the TV screen. Pressing STOP a second time ends all disc playback.
- 15. FAST REVERSE / FORWARD: Selects different levels of fast reverse or fast forward. Press Play to resume playback.
- 16. B.MARK (BD Only): Displays the bookmark menu.
- 17. RES (BD Only): Changes the Output Resolution.
- 18. PROG. (BD Only): Activates Program Play.
- 19. AUDIO (BD Only): Adjusts surround sound mode and selects language. Must be set before playback.
- 20. ZOOM (BD Only): Displays zoom in/out options.
- 21. SUBT. (SUBTITLE) (BD Only): Changes subtitle.
- 22. CLR (BD Only): Clears an input error.
- 23. DISPLAY (BD Only): Displays file information.
- 24. VOLUME (+/-): Increases or decreases the volume level.
- 25. MUTE: Turns off the sound in all zones (1, 2, and 3). Press again to resume previous sound levels.
- 26. ZONE 1, 2, 3: Turns sound on or off for the corresponding zone.
- 27. Z3 CONTROLS: Press "Z3" button to enter/text Zone 3 operation menu. Use +/- buttons to increase/decrease Z3 volume. Long press "Z3" button to change bass/treble/balance/EQ mode. Adjust +/- buttons to change values. Pressing "Z3" button makes Zone 3 independent, indicated by a blue status light changing to red.
System Setup
Press the HOME button to activate the Setup Menu on the screen display. Use the navigation buttons ([Up/Down/Left/Right]) to navigate the OSD menu options.
General Setting:
- System: Options include Screen Saver (On/Off), Disc Auto Playback (On/Off), CEC (On/Off), Disc Auto Upgrade (On/Off).
- Language: Sets OSD, Menu, Audio, and Subtitle languages. (e.g., English).
- Playback: Settings related to playback behavior.
- Security: Options include Change Password (Initial User Password: 0000) and Parental Control (Initial User Password: 0000).
Display Setup:
- TV: Settings for TV, Video process, Motion Video.
- TV Screen: Adjusts TV Screen aspect ratio.
- Resolution: Sets display resolution (e.g., 1080P).
- TV System: Selects TV system (e.g., PAL, NTSC).
- Color Space: Sets color space (e.g., RGB).
- HDMI Deep Color: Enables or disables deep color for HDMI.
- Video Adjust: Options like Sharpness can be adjusted.
Audio Setup:
- Audio Output: Configures audio output settings.
- Speaker Sett.: Speaker setup options.
- SPDIF: SPDIF output settings.
- Down_samp: Downsampling settings.
- Post Process: Post-processing effects.
- DRC: Dynamic Range Compression settings.
- EQ: Equalizer settings.
- UPMix: UPMix settings.
- Test Tone: Plays a test tone for speaker calibration.
System Information: Displays system details, such as Software Version: BD V2.1.2.1.

Troubleshooting
No Power: Check if the fuse is blown and replace it with the proper value if necessary.
LCD Errors or No Function: Turn the unit off and restart it. Use the Factory Default Restart option.
Poor Radio Reception or Static: Ensure the antenna is properly extended and not broken. Check that the antenna is properly grounded at its mounting location. The broadcast signal may be too weak.
Disc Cannot Be Loaded: Ensure the disc is loaded correctly into the machine. Clear the disc by pressing the eject button.
No Picture: Verify the video line from the main unit to the TV is connected properly. Check the TV SYSTEM setting; it should be set to "NTSC" according to the connected television.
Disc Error Appears: The disc may be damaged or dirty. Clean the disc and retry.
No Color on Video: Turn the unit off and restart it. Use the Factory Default Restart option.
FACTORY DEFAULT RESTART: Press and hold the POWER button for 5 seconds to shut down the unit. Restart by pressing the ON button. This will reset all factory defaults.
NOTE: If any problems persist after checking this list, consult your nearest service dealer. Never attempt to disassemble your unit yourself.
