Front Panel Description:

The front panel features a central display screen showing radio frequency, zone information, and playback modes. Key controls include POWER, MUTE, AM/FM, BT, CLOCK, MODE, ZONE selection buttons (1, 2, 3), and playback controls (Previous, Play/Pause, Next, Stop). A large rotary knob is present for volume control and navigation.

Operation

Radio Operation

The unit features an AM/FM tuner with 18 preset FM stations and 12 preset AM stations. Users can manually tune or use auto-scan functions to find and store stations. The 'AM/FM' button cycles through bands (FM1, FM2, FM3, AM1, AM2), and presets can be recalled using the number buttons.

Automatic Store / Preset Scan:

Auto Best Station Memory: In FM1, pressing NEXT scans from low to high frequencies, storing strong stations. Pressing PREVIEW scans from high to low. This applies to AM bands as well.

CD/MP3/MP4/DVD Operation

The iRV63 plays standard size discs (4.75" or 12cm). It supports DVD, MP3, MP4, CD, CD-R, CD-RW, and JPEG-CD formats. The unit is region-coded for Region 1 DVDs (USA and Canada). Playback controls include Play/Pause, Stop, Fast Forward/Reverse, and Previous/Next track selection. The ZOOM function is available for DVD/VCD playback.

Bluetooth (BT) Link

The unit supports Bluetooth connectivity for wireless audio streaming and device control. To connect, enable Bluetooth on your mobile device, search for "iRV63", and connect. The unit's screen will indicate "BT LINK" upon successful connection.

5V Charge

A 5V charging port is available for charging devices like iPods. This port does not support USB data transfer or flash drive music playback.

Inputs and Outputs

Zone Control

The iRV63 provides audio output to three different zones. Zone 1 offers 2.1 digital surround sound, while Zones 2 and 3 deliver standard stereo audio. The "ZONE 1,2,3" buttons on the remote control allow users to turn sound on or off for each zone.

Clock Function

The unit has a built-in clock. Pressing the CLOCK button displays the time. Pressing and holding the CLOCK button enters the clock setting mode, where the hour and minutes can be adjusted using the VOLUME knob.

System Setup

The "SETUP" button activates the System Setup menu on the video monitor. Users can navigate options like TV System (NTSC, PAL), Screen Saver, Resolution (480p, 720p, 1080i, 1080p), TV Type (4:3, 16:9), Password, Rating, and Default settings using the navigation buttons.

Language Setup

The system allows users to configure OSD Language, Audio Language, Subtitle Language, and Menu Language. Options typically include English, French, and Spanish.

Audio and Speaker Setup

Audio settings include options for Audio Output (HDMI Audio, SPDIF/OFF, SPDIF/RAW, SPDIF/PCM) and Speaker Setup (Down Mix).

App Operation

Users can download the iRV app from the App Store or Google Play. Search for "iRV" in the respective app stores. The app allows for enhanced control and functionality.

Display Screen Indicators:

The iRV63 display screen provides information on status, play/pause, current zone, source, track time, frequency, play mode, EQ settings, radio presets, and stereo indicator.

Troubleshooting

No Power: Check the fuse and replace if blown. Ensure the unit is properly connected.

Poor Radio Reception or Static: Ensure the antenna is properly extended and grounded. Check antenna condition.

Disc Cannot Be Loaded: Clear the disc by pressing eject. Ensure the disc is correctly inserted.

No Picture: Verify the video cable connection to the TV. Ensure the TV's input source is correct and the TV SYSTEM setting (NTSC/PAL) on the unit matches the television.

Disc Error: The disc may be damaged or dirty. Clean the disc and try again.

No Color on Video: Turn the unit off and restart. Use Factory Default Restart if necessary.

FACTORY DEFAULT RESTART: Press and hold the POWER button for 5 seconds. The unit will shut off. Restart by pressing the ON button. This resets the unit to factory defaults.
